On heisman we will have no more than 10-15 - 1,000 yard rushers.....in real ncaa last year there were 51.
Yeah and we also play 5-6 minute quarters ...you should know yourself that the first few seasons guys are still getting a hang of playbooks and style so give some time to adjust.
to clarify:
In seasons 13....14....AND 15 On heisman we will have no more than 10-15 - 1,000 yard rushers
you guys dont have to argue with me. I'll play on JV if u want to...Im just pointing out what I think will happen with rushing.
..then again....I cant run the ball on AA either and didnt even have a 1000 yard wusher in the last 3 seasons
again..i dont care either way and am not lobbying to go aa...Im just saying AA is my vote

#1 - I do so enjoy though being right. 10-15 1000 yard rushers? pffft, I may have OVER stated that.
#2 - Looking at qb stats...of rough 119 guys....through the halfway point about 20 have more tds than ints.....in other words....about 80 teams have thrown more ints that tds (yes yes..im aware that the completion % is well above 60 but that doesnt exactly lend credence to my point does it? so we'll ignore that little detail )
#3 - I think we made the right call going heisman and am NOT lobbying to change or beat a dead horse.....just wanted to say na-na-ne-boo-boo I was right about something.
i think you guys made the right call on heisman but i stand by my statements for aa and hope next year in hindsight of my omnipitence, more will see things my way
Steamrollr22 wrote:Think your calling this one for yourself a bit too early.. Season still has a long way to go.. U forgot to mention that this is season 1 and the amount of play per game is down..
My RB only has 310 yards in 5 games but also only has 70 carries little over 10carries per game and only 101 pass attempts..a little over 20 per game... Thats way down of actual plays in a real game..
You're averaging 4 yards a carry which is perfect. thats what I'd liek to see more of a league average then athe current 2.6 or whatever it is.
also, you are colorado and youve played CSU, Boise, TCU and Arkansas.....no offense to those coaches but those teams arent exactly defensive power houses.
We'll see if your average holds up when u get into that big 12 schedule
Note: Yes, I may be calling it too early and may be setting myself up for embarassment but thats half the fun
Nolie, If it makes you feel better... if I would have known about Rainey's skill I would have started him from the first game and not from the 4th or 5th and he would have easily had 1000 yards, that way you would have had your 10-15 rushers.
I tried for a 1,000 yards with Bell but he was probably injured for at least 5 of my games for a good portion of the game. I think he finished up just shy of 800.

I did have over a 1, 000 yards combined rushing.
Id like to challenge guys to have someone other than their HB be their leading receiver. IDK the exact numbers but I was looking at stats and their are a ton of half backs who lead their team or are very close.

and if if horshoes were handgrandes.....well...I forget the rest but that'd be one helluva game of horseshoes.
jeffdaddy wrote:its very tough to get over a hundred yards rushing a game this year.
Yea, and here is why.. Total plays per game combined by both teams---REAL NCAA 120+ aprox ----- NDL-70+ aprox
Dont think we have had many 40-50+pass attempts at all...which happens with some teams either...It would be something else if you could give a guy the ball 20-30 times a game but if you did that youd lose every one..
But yea Nolie...you got me bro..checks in the mail...

...and to explain all the other seasons???
Jeff said its difficult this year....as in more difficult than other years.
That was my point.
We've always had that ratio of numbers of plays in ndl compared to real life (except for ncaa 08, in which the number of plays went down due to the sluggish controls...yet 100 yard games and 1,000 yard rushers were still more prevalant than this season)....with that, and back to my point, we've had more rushing success on past game and running succesfully (opver 1,000 yards) is greatly more difficult than others..
