Who Started the NDL?

it would be fantastic if we all just announced who are favorite teams were and if nobody else was also a fan of that team then you automatically got them (if you wanted them of course).

i know a lot of guys get bored easily and like to move around, but it makes the traditions, records, conference traditions so much sweeter when you're always playing the same guys

i'm not saying we should ACTUALLY do this, but its certainly something that would get into the spirit of "DYNASTY LEAGUE"

I agree with this! I mean when it comes to the draft I basically just draft the best team available.However if I knew a guy behind me in the draft wanted that "best" team available then I would let them slide to him.Not knowing who a guys favorite team since I am fairly new doesn't allow me to know when and who I would let slide.I remember during the draft someone said I took someones team but hell I didn't know that.I just drafted based off of "best" available u know?I never would intentionally "take" a guys team if I knew those were his boys and he really wanted them.

I first heard of the NDL from being in the LOD (Actually was a decent league for a period of time). Played with Jake, AJ, Cheel, Nole, Nasty, Mike. Finally made the jump to the farm with AJ and Cheel. Played in the farm for almost a season, then got the call up in Season 9, well after Cheel and AJ Word was I passed deep to much. (From Hoos and Spidey)

Anyway, played half of season 9, all of season 10, then got booted/demoted back to the Farm midway through Season 11 when I had Cincinnati. Reason for the demotion? Fell asleep during a couple of games that season. I got the dreaded email the next day after falling asleep a 2nd time. Got the call back up for Season 12 and got Duke!! Season 13 - SMU!! Season 14 I drafted Iowa and have been with them since...

I got my forst stint into the NDL be recommendation from Carnell and Spydie. I was in CSFL with them after being in several smaller leagues run by 13-14 year old kids claiming to be sim. It wasnt unti lthe bSw...that I found some straight games and began loving online play.Many of the original bSw guys are in this league...rags, quest, doc, etc. It was a small league built on even teams if you recall that feature.

At the same time as the bSW I jumped in to the NDL season 4 and have rocked it here ever since. My worst memory is letting go of Texas after several people sacrificed and passed them up to let me khave them one season. I did enough to keep them, but let then go to Griffin thinking he would win a BCS title. Sadly, he let me down and I promise never to let them go again if Im lucky enough to get back to Austin.

Yea, I remember playing TONS of lobby games back in the day. (Rix to Cro Thorpe was money ) and then I was invited into the NNBL by some weird dude. Then I recruited Shel into the NNBL.

From the NNBL, Nole realized the greatness of Robert Johnson and the TTech offense and I realized the unfairness of Matt Jones and the option and greatness of overhead cam.

Then I played a couple games in Farm and Shel and I got the call at the same time. Nole, Bud always takes credit but I always said "Nole is my friend". Seemed to work.

Hey Cnasty weren't you in that "Supreme Leagues" with me? Thats was my first league kinda since it never really got off the ground.Some shit went down in "Supreme Leagues" and it folded.Then the NNBL was formed by RickyNJ and a few others I think and I remember Cnasty,Shel,Nole,Schoola,Doc,Bud1Vol up in there as well as Beavis.Anyways that was pretty strong for a minute the core guys like the ones just mention began leaving and it was off to the NDL i think for a few and the NNBL eventually folded.Anyways I was NNBL and NDL at the same time for a lil bit but due to work and time I took some time away and came back here obviously and I am glad to be a part of something so cool that unites NCAA Football fans as well as a mulititude of other games that we all get together and play and it's truly one of a kind and again Glad to be here and being a part of the Rich Tradition of THE best online league!!

That was the name of it!!! That weird dude ran it and I cant remember his name.

He wanted the best teams all the time and when he got beat he would throw a FIT. Then he started the NNBL and then he left without a trace.

I then told Shel about it and some others and the online league stuff took off.

I started from season 1, came over from csfl. I was Minnesota in season 1 and went 10-2 and shutout jeffmo and michigan at the bighouse in the process!!!! 2nd season was my crown jewel and went downhill from there. I won the NDL TITLE beating carlwayne and USC with Georgia on a last second bomb from David Greene to Fred Gibson! Hit an all time low when I was "reprimended" for breaking the 35 point rule around season 10 or 11. I had Hawaii and didn't realize they had any kind of defense. Wes booted me. I was gone for two seasons at the end of the ps2 campaign.

I thank Nolie for bringing me back when ps3 started so 15 of 17 seasons! This is the schznit and I enjoyed getting to know everyone. Funny how so many guys can be so different can be so alike.

Finally, GaSnake was not a female was a admin posing as one as they tried to out me for doing flag routes all day only to be countered with running freakin crosses all day. I told "shim" must be very religous for all the crosses!

if anyone gives a shit, I got in at season 2 draft. Took San Jose and big claim that season was beating Illinois my first game, and beat Fresno the last game-I think they were undefeated maybe? not 100% sure.

It was on Christmas Eve, and I remember going over to Grandparents house all jacked up getting that win. What a fuckin dork!!!

Have been mired in mediocrity ever since.

Got NDL Radio started up and became a commish soon after.

Good ol' ToeplerJ got me in. He was in a league that I had started on PS2. This was after even having a league when NCAA was only on the CPU, and you had to call your opponent to play against each other. Thank God for technology!

i used to run a madden league back in 2002 or so called the MDL, we were one of the first leagues on leaguedaddy along with the power leagues (dr tom and robpowers league). i remember it was all dudes i knew and then a few randoms i met in lobbies like matt90210. he was like 12 at the time. lol

funniest part is he was really good and he'd always do well during the regular season and then CHOKE in the playoffs, little running joke we still have.

its amazing (and really gay) how you can build total virtual friendships over the years... most of us have known or known of eachother for 5 or 6 years now... crazy

yea, freaking Wes and I live in the same town and didnt know each other until the NDL, and ended up I was best man in his wedding. I will be meeting up w/ him next week to take him out for his b-day.
