M.A.G.
Anyone trying it? Anyone heard anything good?
Re: M.A.G.
Just got an email about it.
Re: M.A.G.
Actually been reading some decent stuff about this....people seem to be enjoying the dedicated servers.....
Might give this a rent. not sure if Blockbuster will even have it yet
anyone know how much it is to buy?

Re: M.A.G.
this actually sounds prettydarn good .....many of the same things as MW2, but with dedicated servers......
very tempted.....MW2 is getting a little boring with all the glitching....
i figure SONY will respond quicker to patches since its a 1st party game for them.....

I played that beta demo.I didn't care for it much but maybe if I played more it may grow on me.Like someone mentioned above,Beefy has played the demo quite a bit so he probably has some better insight to it.

This game could blow MW2 out the water, or it could be an epic fail. If you can get a group of 32-128 players who follow the directions of the general (or whoever is calling the shots) and stay organized, it could be really fun. Im sure alot of the matches will have a bunch of teenagers doing their own thing and wont understand the "team" concept and that could be really frustrating.

Sounds like MW2! I play with and against many of guys/kids who are playing domination and don't even try to capture flags at all. Many of whom just play cause you always know where guys are so they can either snipe or run around with a care package marker in hand and just go around cutting people to death, speaking of which isn't it funny how you die instantly against a knife and then I can unload half a clip in a guy and he won't die!hugme49 wrote:This game could blow MW2 out the water, or it could be an epic fail. I've played it for a few hours today and I doubt that many here would like it. It DEFINITELY lives up to the massive part. I've yet to play a 256-player game, but just taking part in a few 128 ones leaves you in awe. Always something going on around you, yet you still feel like you matter in the scheme of things. Can't say just yet that maps are balanced, but it seems like there is enough height and cover spots to make things interesting.
Teamwork is the major issue. You HAVE to communicate to have a shot. I've played in a few games where few people in my squad had a mic. Hell, even a few where few in the platoon had one. We were destroyed as the other team was able to grab areas and advance to make it hard to break through. In other games, my guys were able to advance with positions called out and snipers, smoke, and rpgs to provide cover. I think it will offer a nice alternative to MW2, but I doubt many people will take the chance if they are already happy with what they have.

Re: M.A.G.
I got it release day, sold it back yesterday.
Just couldnt get into it. I hadnt unlocked the 256 player game yet but 128 provided enough chaos. It rains grenades kinda like WaW's campaign mode and shooting at anything in the distance without a scope is a waste of bullets. Even if you connect it takes three hits to kill unless its a headshot.
MW2 will not be threatened by MAG.

I heard trying to aim is ridiculous and haven't heard anything good or bad yet.

Any of you fruit loops still playing this game? I picked it up used at GameStop to play with a friend, but man, I realized how much I hate FPS' with the DS3. In my opinion, the DS3's analog sticks don't provide enough resistance so it is hard to be precise when aiming. I do prefer the DS3 to the 360 controller in all other aspects though.
Any tips on aiming?
I don't think this game will threaten CoD much as it is a completely different ball game. Battlefield 2 just might, however.
