A Hollywood casting call seems to have outed details about Call Of Duty 7 - revealing names of characters and news of the title's Vietnam setting.

The ad mentions a Call of Duty-related "voice over/motion capture" for an Activision "video game" - and describes lead character Frank Barnes as being part of an elite Vietnam unit.

VG247 reports that Barnes is part of an elite Vietnam unit: the Military Assistance Command, Vietnam - Studies and Observations Group (SOG).

SOG was a real-life special operations unit which conducted covert unconventional warfare operations prior to and during the Vietnam War.

Barnes is described as "a fiercely patriotic veteran of WW2... A solid leader, possessed with an excellent ability to assess and respond to any situation quickly and decisively".

Other characters include Joseph Lewis, a "very physically fit" black man in his 20s; Jason Hudson, a white man in his 30s with "over 15 years of military experience, making him an excellent tactician and mission co-coordinator"; and Kristina Ivanova, a Russian-born martial arts expert and CIA operative who's "calm to the point of being cold and detached".

CVG reported earlier this year that the Call Of Duty 7 release date is coming this November.

Activision subsequently confirmed the game - but said that it confirmed the gamedoesn't expect it to sell as well as Modern Warfare 2.

Wont have a problem if they can set up the game as well as MW2. Will suck if we go back to the 3-5-7 KS with no choices. Some good guns and maps potentially.

Well its not being made by Infinity Ward so I won't be buying it. I hated CODWAW. I have no problem playing MW2 for the next year and a half.

Agree minus their map packs. They have to look at the KS stuff and perks. If they can copy MW, then it will be fine. W@W wasnt a bad game, just needs some work.

EMP should be a step above UAV ....then you could save it and knock stuff out of the sky....would be cool if you could negate a nukle with it too

Will they have an Agent Orange killstreak reward that defoliates the jungle around you but also gives your character cancer causing you to suddenly drop dead in the middle a round three days after you call in the strike? Or maybe you can call in an STD strike on the other team. They all suddenly get Chlamydia and stand behind a tree screaming while they piss blood.
