Dynasty recruiting help

Post by bearass »

So I'm in a created team dynasty with some friends. We've moved up from 4* programs to 6*s by now. I've been stalling out on recruiting 5* guys though. At the begining it was a little streched to go after them maybe one per yr. But now a majority of my board is 5*s and I sit at #1 on these guys all season have A- or better visits like always and they will not commit. Any ideas? Once we get to offseason or week 13/14 I start to lose them.

You have to have them visit late in the season, around week 8 on up. Then just keep after them. That's all I know to do.

Max out the calls every visit. Make sure to sway as many of thier interests to make your school more desireable. A lot of guys I talk to in dynasties say this doesnt help but believe me it does.

Agreed. I've had them commit many times while swaying them.

here is another way to go,, if you just cant get those 5 star recruits..

Forget recruiting guys by stars only..

I have built a very sucessful dynasty by recruiting by certain attributes.

Anotherwards think of what kind of offense and defense you would like to run, and think of what kind of player you need for that system to work.

Then recruit that way.. I ve had pretty good sucess that way with my teams and recruiting , with recruiting system players.. So as long as they fit your system and your playstyle then a 3 and 4 star recruit will perform like a 5 star.

Just a thought, if you still come up short of those 5 star guys.

I've found a couple of 3 stars that will beat out 4 stars and 4 stars that beat out of 5 stars. Can't really say if progression over the years changes this but like someone said I like to recruit based on attributes.

Stars are never a sure bet, many times you will find 3's as good if not better than the 5's. I go for the fastest, strongest and best awareness depending on the position, I never prioritize by the *'s.

Some of the 5 stars don't pan out but in the long run it is better to go with the higher rated if you can get them. A 4 star may be better than a 5 star the first season and even the second but in the junior and senior year the 5 star player will usually progress farther and be rated higher than the 4 star. Same with 4 over 3 star players. That's not always the case but it is most of the time. Just make sure when you are way ahead to get your backups in there and get some pt.

I do the same thing, with speed generally being my top target, aside from the hogs on the line.
