Voting aid won't be ready until late night, or tomorrow morning. The Powers that Be don't wait until its done before they open the polls, usually I make the deadline, but not with working the MWC Tournament this week.

I'm with you quest. I think it's all about looking at each team's full season to really understand how they compare to other teams. Part of the reason that I don't use the voting aid is because it's an average of everyone's opinion and if you roll it week by week, you grandfather in mistakes.

I go to LD, open up Excel, then start dropping in teams in a list. I look at their matchups and determine where they should be placed, based on who they've played and what they've done.

I use the voting aid but I do look at matchups as well. For the most part the voting has been good except maybe a couple of teams had losing records. I also look at when they lost, if a team lost in the final two weeks than yes they drop as in real life. A couple of teams not ranked made conference finals and thus were rewarding by the former Minnesota coach.
