Battlefield requires more teamwork and you actually have to work to complete your objective.
As for the servers, EA is working on them since they admitted a lot more people bought the game than they thought (I would assume due to MW2 not being very good). Battlefield has dedicated servers, while MW2 does not.
I say it is the opposite of MW2 not being very good. They are getting spillover due to the popularity of "new type" first person shooters that MW created. People are buying MW2 that never bought FPS before and now folks are buying other games that are similar. Gotta remember that Online is only a small part of the game, people buy these things for the story mode as well.

CoD and BF have story modes?
Online a small part of the game?
You crazy.
Just like football, not everyone plays the online mode. COD4 and W@W had about avg anywhere from 60-80k people online during primetime playing in the US, hit 90-100k on the weekend. That is a small # compared to the number of folks who bought the game. Havent looked if it shows that info on MW2 but I would say it is higher than those 2 but not double or triple that amount. This is a game that sold almost 5 million copies in the first 24 hours of release, havent seen the sales figures lately but I would say it has sold between 12-15 million copies between the 3 major platforms. Lets say for argument sake its 12 million and each plat for sold 4 million, so we are talking small % of the people who buy the game who play online on a given night.
Understand your being sarcastic here cause like you, how and why would you buy this game and not play online, like NCAA

I think the NDL learned its lesson straying from COD when they bought SOCOM. I think only 3 of us didnt cause we knew that there would only be 1 FPS shooter game played by everyone. Same for GTA, slowly but surely one by one everyone came back to COD.
for the record, NDL Strayed from SOCOM 1st
with good reasoning as how they fucked that up has to be comparable with Beta getting f'ed by VHS
Trying to reclaim glory of years past with the new socom, which is understandable since SOCOM 2 was a huge game for yall, but the writing was on the wall. COD has been more than a 1 trick pony but they could shit the bed with IW out of it possibly. I am excited about the NAM edition as long as they keep all the new perks of MW2. I love the kill streak stuff, new challenges, etc...
So I borrowed this Battlefield Bad Company 2 and I have to say it's pretty awesome. It's good to finally play without all the gimmicky killstreak shit and boosting idiots trying to get Nukes!Like mentioned in this post somewhere I think both games have pros and cons but in Battlefield its more realistic and involves teamwork at all times. I hate that you can't really see the enemy until someone "marks" them but it's realistic cause the marking is more or less a guy say"Hey there is a guy over here" without saying it. You can choose to be a medic and bring teammates back like as if they are just badly injured which may not be realistic but it's different. You can be a "sniper",medic, engineer, or assault.Just depends on what u pick and it helps to have one of each.Like I think the assault guy can give you ammo if you run out and medics can "heal" you and engineers can fix tanks.Shit like that. Pretty cool game so far.I may just go out and buy it.I like MW2 alot but the gimmicky perk stuff and killstreaks ruin it sometimes for me.I was against even trying this game for quite awhile now but I am glad I finally gave in cause its a pretty cool multiplayer game.I would suggest renting it and giving it a try cause you might just like it.I still love MW2 and will play that till the next COD comes out but I will probably buy Battlefield and play that just as much.
