20 free DLC

Post by autiger730 »

registration finally opened. still no word on what the songs are. said it will be a "few weeks until they are ready". So, who knows when they are coming? i mean this is from a company who says a "few days" and it means two weeks or they have a "BIG announcement coming" and it ends up being garbage songs no one has ever heard of. my guess is last week of november.

i think they wait until the game is out on all systems, and its going to be a group of 20 songs that nobody would want to play, groups off the harmonix record label

Here's the announcement for the 20 free songs. As expected, I haven't heard of any of them. Oh well, surely a few of them have to be good.
Rock Band 2 Free DLC Revealed
Twenty bonus songs coming in November.

October 21, 2008 - Months ago, Harmonix promised 20 free downloadable tracks to those who purchased Rock Band 2. That promise is about to be fulfilled. MTV Games and Harmonix will release a 20-pack of songs, free to those who purchase Rock Band 2 on PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii. The tracks will be made available on November 4 for PS3 and Xbox 360, with the Wii pack ready for download when Rock Band 2 ships to Nintendo's console this December.

Printed on the back of the instruction manual for Rock Band 2 is a unique download code. Enter this code online to access the free content. The 20 extra tracks pushes Rock Band 2's set list over the 100 song mark. But while the songs on disc are mainly well-known ditties, the 20-pack is made up of up-and-coming bands, some of whom you may not know.

The 20-pack features bands from across the world and from a variety of genres. Here's the complete list of free downloadable tracks:

The 88 - "Sons and Daughters"
Authority Zero - "No Regrets"
Between the Buried and Me - "Prequel To The Sequel"
The Cab - "Bounce"
The Chevelles - "Get It On"
The Cocktail Slippers - "Give It To Me"
Dealership - "Database Corrupted"
Endeverafter - "I Wanna Be Your Man"
The Ghost Hounds - "Ashes To Fire"
Hollywood Undead - "Young"
Kutless - "The Feeling"
The Len Price 3 - "If I Ain't Got You"
Lesley Roy - "I'm Gone, I'm Going"
Opiate for the Masses - "Burn You Down"
Semi-Precious Weapons - "Magnetic Baby"
Shaimus - "Like a Fool"
Thenewno2" - Crazy Tuesday"
Tickle Me Pink - "The Time Is Wrong"
Underoath - "Desperate Times, Desperate Measures"
X Japan - "I.V."

Rock Band 2 is currently available for PS3 and Xbox 360. The Wii version is expected to release in early December.

just as i suspected, garbage. some of them sound cool, but mostly garbage. doubt any of these turn out out be the "electric version" of this game.
