Rosters Not Showing Up During Online Play

I played a few scrimmages/ladder games and the names of the players showed up. But in my first cup game and week 1 game it just showed the numbers. i have not downloaded any different rosters between that time and it loads the rosters when i start the game. anybody else having this issue or know what may be causing this?

This happened whenever I played as Northwestern. I thought maybe because they don't have names on their jerseys but I've had names with other teams with no names on the back of the jersey.

look closely at your loaded profile. Rosters seemed to be linked to that.

For example...my typical profile is texasfan444. One day while playing my controller went low on batteries and had to jump on another controller. It created a profile user2. After that game it asks to save changes to your profile. Thus saving user2 and making it a default somehow.

I had to go in and set up audibles and settings for user2 becaue i beleive it overwrote my texasfan profile. This may be the root ofthe problem. You can check by loggind normally and once the game is booted it shows the loaded profile at the bottom left or right corner.

hope that helps....have had this theory for a bit but never put it to paper.

In last years game I found that if you were playing a different game type that loaded its own rosters (dynasty of some kind) and then quit out of that and went straight online, it wouldn't reload your rosters for online play.

Don't know if they fixed it this year, but I could see this being a problem again.

I do know that this was fixed on this version. I noticed it during a few scrims after logging off a dynasty it was bringing up my default roster.

I know i had my profile loaded. I have a theory too but it sounds more crazy. I edited the player uni's on my roster save. That may be why. I deleted my roster and then redownloaded em and now the names show up online. i dunno.

you need to load your rosters.. then save your profile that will make the game load the rosters whenever you leave something to go to something else.

i did have them downloaded, loaded and then saved to my profile. i played a few scrimmages and they showed the names, but when it came time to play cup and week 1 (after i fiddled with the unis cause i have slight ocd and hate those big bulky elbow pads ) the names ceased to show online. i'll just have to fight the ocd i guess.

Could it be that the file I have has edits in it (I know it does because it has a few players on UofLs roster that aren't on it without the names)?

I'm pretty sure it is because of the edits. The edited roster files is the reason the stuff like season showdown isn't working.
