I'll be surprised if the Jags lose by less then 10 against the injured Colts.

Jags-Colts is ALWAYS a close game. I can't remember the last time it was decided by more than a touchdown in Jacksonville.

I'm driving home and Sportacular says Kolb is playing. What's Vick's status?

Injured rib, unlikely to return.

Lesean McCoy looks like a better version of Reggie Bush.

Man, he's quick and has some great moves in the open field.

Lol I should have said "riding home" but it doesn't sound right. My brother is driving.

All that Kolb trade talk looks even dumber now.

Is it wrong that I want Hasselbeck to suffer a career ending injury?

As if to prove my point, Jags force the first interception for Peyton of the season (and over 160 straight passes) in the redzone and are now driving.

I will never understand why they don't play this way in other games. Maybe it's Del Rio....

Bradshaw is helping do some commentary from the studio on the Redskins/Eagles game and it got me to thinking:

in this day and age where every angle of the field is covered by a camera and there is a seperate field reporter doing all the interviews, why do we have the announcers at the actual stadium instead of in some comfy studio?

Great pass Donovan.

And why is Bradshaw doing this? Trying something new? Or something else I missed?

pretty sure Fox is just trying all different shit. different camera angles in a preseason game, using the 'rules committee' guy to help on reviewed plays and now this.

just figuring out ways to improve/fuck up the viewing experience

A lot of international soccer that's broadcast in the US is actually done this way. GolTV's coverage used to be exclusively done this way and probably still is. I haven't watched much GolTV so I'm not sure. I know that ESPN's coverage of Champion's League soccer was/is done this way too. I really can't think of a good reason for it not to be done this way. It's certainly more cost effective for the networks.

This is weird, the feed I'm watching it on on the internet during work is from SkySports, so instead of commercials, it goes to the skysports studio (british) and they talk about the game, and for some odd reason Lynn Swann is with them... wtf?

Peyton just put on a clinic that drive

yeah, skyports is where alot of the live feeds come from

what is so weird about Swann being with them? i mean we have euro's on the ESPN set when we cover soccer. its the same thing

They do that because the only thing gayer than a guy with an English accent talking about football is a guy named Lynn. It makes the studio hosts feel more manly.

And the Jags answered right back :D

In the past, we would've gone conservative there and gotten just a FG, and Peyton would now go get a TD.

This time, we finally got a TD....I like our chances!
