This trade completely sucks and, with no players coming back in return, makes no fucking sense.

tren

a 1st and a 3rd for guys they weren't going to resign sounds pretty fucking good to me.

i thought you said you understood moneyball even tho you didn't read it. they have shown time and time again they aren't going to overpay for a player. if you aren't going to overpay then you have to try to get compensation for it... especially if you're proving you can win without him. a 1st and a 3rd for two players that have little value to you anymore is a bargain in my view.

lets look at the facts:
1) Pats won superbowls with no name wr's before so its not like they are in need a superstar
2) they had no plans of resigning Moss
3) Moss will be 34 years old next season
4) Pats are 3-1 despite the fact that:
5) So far this season, Randy Moss has a league-high five dropped passes and has the lowest catch percentage (receptions/(receptions+drops)) of any receiver with at least 20 targets on the season.
6) they have a young player who has shown promise at WR
7) they get a potential contributer in return by getting a 3rd round pick
8) they only spent a 4th round pick to get him, so in reality they got his production for 3 years and got back more then they spent on him

Jackson was my first thought once I heard of the trade.

Welker
Edelman
Tate
Price
______

will not cut it and I don't care how awesome the kids at TE have been.

Well, if they don't like to overpay like you said, they won't go after Jackson.

Can Moss really help Favre? I remember when he was a free agent and favre was pretty vocal about the packers signing him and he ended up going with New England.

Yes. Will free up Harvin too. Oh, and the Vikings have a guy named Sidney Rice who will come back soon.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAAHHA Best comment so far ...

Kanaric: And the pats go THIS much closer to an all white starting offense. Get edelman, welker, gronkowski, and woodhead as a starter in a game you probably have the most white people playing offensive skill positions since the 50s.

AnEvilGuest: The O-Line is a bunch of white guys as well. I'm worried scrimmages are going to look like race riots ;)
