in shotty forms you can quickly sub your fb to hb using packages then run sg plays with him
takes 3-5 seconds for each formation

Re: TYLER BASS 4 HEISMAN!!!
you guys are missing the point.
If you're dinging people for using a starting running back then i feel bad for you. That is just beyond sad, I don't even want to go into it because it's so simple, but people run well because of OLs not RBs in this game.
Starting running back going up the middle using R1 is no different than a back-up going up the middle holding R1

Re: TYLER BASS 4 HEISMAN!!!
Your first point on why you dont do it is it messes up gameflow and takes too long. now its the o-line fault. Doesnt seem very simple even to you. I can only speak from my own experience, not saying what I do is any better than anybody else, but take out the starter if you are up big if you are beating them with the ground game, take out the QB or Big WR if you are beating them with the passing game, go to a 3 man rush if your d-line is crushing their o-line. Its about respecting your oppt, all teams arent created equal, Personally its a dick move to pound a weaker team with starters all game.

What does R1 do? Isn't it cover up or something? Does it really help that much? I haven't noticed absurd things happening with guys running up the gut all game. Maybe I'm missing something.shel311 wrote:VeniVediV1ci wrote:Starting running back going up the middle using R1 is no different than a back-up going up the middle holding R1

Re: TYLER BASS 4 HEISMAN!!!
that will generally make the guy run slower holding R1 to cover up. I think the general idea is that if you are running between the tackles as your primary offense, and you are up big, switch out to the backup RB. Continuing to run up the middle with your primary back is what got you the big lead, why would it all of a sudden cause the game to not continue in the same direction.
Just because 35 point wins are allowed does not mean you have to go full steam regular offense until you hit that level. I had one opportunity last season to not be losing in the fourth quarter, and yet I was only up 14 points and running AT the defenders because 21 pt lead didnt matter

I have been on the wrong side of some lopsided losses in the last few years. It makes a huge difference to me when someone goes up 21-0 in the 1st quarter, not to push it to 35, they dick around, run trick plays, try new things and maybe I can force some punts. I know they will get to the 35 mark eventually in the game, but getting a few stops along the way is a hell of a lot different then someone running it up to 35-0 then just running the ball up the middle every play, getting to my zone, killing massive clock and either kneeing it on 4th or some other BS. No one is gonna take notice if you beat a cupcake 38-3 vs 38-13, but to the cupcake, those differences can mean a much much more enjoyable game

Yep. Running up the score is truly classless. Last season, I had someone up 27 points on me with 3:30 left to play. I'm just trying to get the game over. This guy decides that's not enough and proceeds to rattle off a 3 play, 73 yard scoring drive capped by a 34 yard TD pass to go up 34. Classless. But knowing who it was (don't ask, I won't name names) you wouldn't be surprised.

sounds like something i'd do against Trendon. but then i would have onside kicked and scored againLetsGoPeay wrote:Yep. Running up the score is truly classless. Re: TYLER BASS 4 HEISMAN!!!
Wow people use crazy shit when playing. I run up the middle all fuckin' game because I'm not a bouncer lol.
Hut, R2 and go up, and if its like 1 defender tackling me I hit the right analog up so he pushes forward, but if its multiple people I don't because that's a sureeee way to fumble lol.
I just found out yesterday X does something. I think stiff arm cause I threw a guy to the ground, but that will just make me fumble lol

Re: TYLER BASS 4 HEISMAN!!!
if you call a PA pass and hot route the HB to block it will eliminate the playaction and just be a regular pass play if that helps ya out trendontrendon wrote:Now that is a valid point.ajalves wrote:i havent heard anyone pull the "PA card" this version, not once
That said, if Jeff runs it, it doesnt seems very realistic....or me for that matter, since i throw a lot and rarely run (since i'm usually losing)
And, speaking of PA, who do I email at EA for a request? My request is to have NO plays PA by default but you hit a button to trigger it. All of the really awesome pass patterns are in PA and I don't feel like getting sacked 10 times a game.

But people think this takes advantage of AI, so I wouldn't do that.Dcane7 wrote:if you call a PA pass and hot route the HB to block it will eliminate the playaction and just be a regular pass play if that helps ya out trendontrendon wrote:Now that is a valid point.ajalves wrote:i havent heard anyone pull the "PA card" this version, not once

Re: TYLER BASS 4 HEISMAN!!!
it doesnt, someone confirmed on the last page when we discussed it that it didnt do it. If someone else could double confirm, then shouldnt be a problem
Re: TYLER BASS 4 HEISMAN!!!
I also fail to see how a defender would would be able to differentiate it from a standard pass play. I know I wouldnt have a clue

It was more the other 10 people on the field that the computer was controlling. If it still gave the PA effect to the computer AI, thats where it would of become a problemWeasel wrote:I also fail to see how a defender would would be able to differentiate it from a standard pass play.
