Why is the game lagging? I know

I watched a video last night that said the game stutters due to the amount of people you have on your buddy list. The more people, the more lag. The reason is because of those updates that run at the bottom of the screen that update how your friends are progressing. Those updates continuously go back and forth between to the server.

To test it out, I used my fake name which has no buddies. The game ran almost identical to MW2. It was smooth as it could be. Obviously, some individuals still lagged but the screen itself no longer stuttered.

Create a COD name with only guys that play it to lower our buddy lists amounts which will in turn by your theory lower the lag??

That, I don't know yet. I'm not sure how many names is the magic number. All I know right now, there was a dramatic difference in the quality of the game on my regular name vs. my fake name.
