Besides him making it looking like he has been running back kicks for years, I was more surprised on how long it took before someone actually touched him

Someone is actually watching this game?

Re: NFL Thread
Heck yeah! I'm gonna win my fantasy league due to the Bears defense lol... I was down 26 points, and if I just get one more sack I'll be up one point lolshel311 wrote:Someone is actually watching this game?

Re: NFL Thread
Long time Bears fan here. Fam is from the Chicago area and its nice to have a contending Major sports teams right now with the Bulls and the Bears. I hate The Sox so times are good. I think the Bears have just a good a shot as any team in the NFC right now to go to Dallas. Slightly homerish but if Chicago can get Philly in Chicago they may have a good shot at it.
New Orleans to me is still the darkhorse though.

Just sucks possibly having the 2nd best record in the NFC but the 5th seed and likely on the road for 3 straight playoff games.packsyD22 wrote:New Orleans to me is still the darkhorse though.

Re: NFL Thread
I watch any MNF or SNF game where there are Canes involved. So yea, almost all of them.shel311 wrote:Someone is actually watching this game?

That return was so easy to break the record it was hilarious. It reminded me of when Favre fell down so Strahan can break the sack record.
I dont think Hester was touched at all on the return.
Crown him.

looking like we'll see you guys in the dome in the divisional round, provided the giants don't knock off either the iggles or da bears. should be a blast.
enjoy the trip to san francisco/st. louis/seattle.
any of those teams you'd prefer not to see?
personally, i think i'd rather see you guys go to san francisco. outdoors, cross country, sloppy field, etc. only down side is gore being out. st. louis, however, is probably the best of them. worst home field advantage of the bunch, though. watch out for them, though. take back the jenkins pick 6, and that game was close at new orleans.

Re: NFL Thread
I'd prefer to go to San Fran first, definitely. I'd probably prefer to go to St Louis over Seattle, just based on the weather and playing outdoors in December. I'd much rather the Saints be in a dome, so I'll go with St Louis there.
Then, I'd definitely prefer for whoever gets the 6th seed to upset the 3rd seed, so we can miss going to Atlanta in the 2nd round.

Re: NFL Thread
i'd rather that as well. i don't want our road to have to go through you guys and then philly. mv7 playing the nfc championship game in atlanta would be absolutely nuts. the drama leading up to it would be overwhelming, and honestly, andy reid just seems to have our number. however, in one sense, it would be the ultimate exorcism.shel311 wrote:I'd prefer to go to San Fran first, definitely. i like our matchups with chicago. new york scares me a bit just because of their defensive line, but i'd rather see them than you guys or philly. we'll more than likely have to beat at least one of you. two of you would be a tall order. the big play ability of the iggles and the saints worries me. we dominated that game in new orleans, but two big plays (the punt return and the long pass to moore) combined with a fluke play (the punt bouncing off decoud's foot) made that an overtime game despite us having the ball 2-1 and putting 200 up on the ground. big plays have been been an issue from time to time, especially early in the year. we've gotten better about it as the year has went on, but the eagles and the saints can equalize games quickly or they can get out in front quick. i don't like that, lol.

Re: NFL Thread
Well that too, but Im saying easy as far as contact and going untouched.
Even though he has gone untouched in many of them.
Imagine how many he would have if they actually kicked to him. They kicked away from him all half and then all of a sudden they kicked him a low liner and he was gone. 1 chance, 1 TD.

This article just further shows the point I was going for with that post:shel311 wrote:packsyD22 wrote:Shel I am confused you just said Shannohan has gone off the deep end yet he is doing exactly what you just said here right above?shel311 wrote:I always wonder why teams with losing records don't sit starters, especially QBs to give young guys experience while also likely increasing your chance to lose and get a better draft pick.
I meant Shannahan for the entire season, not just here. But I also think what I said and what is happening in Washington really isn't exactly what i said.
Grossman isn't exactly some young kid in need of reps. You know what you're getting with Grossman, and regardless of how he plays the last 2 games, he's obviously not as good as McNabb, so it's really not the same.
Shanny isn't trying out new, young QBs. He's flat out benching McNabb, and putting him in the 3rd QB spot.
There's a whole lot more to it then just giving other QBs experience.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/s ... id=5946432
Even though Rex Grossman played well as McNabb's replacement in Sunday's 33-30 loss to Dallas, Shanahan's messy handling of this entire affair still should leave observers shaking their heads in wonder. As McNabb revealed, he didn't even learn about his demotion to third string until Shanahan told reporters on Friday.
In fact, the entire episode creates the impression that there is something more onerous smoldering behind the scenes
