Advanced, donkey and jesence you guys have the only 2 games I believe. I'll be pretty much at work till after 11pm Tuesday, so if you can get those played by around that time we will advance to bowls. Also if anyone is wanting to change teams, now is the time to let me know, just post in the thread.

Advanced to bowls! Get those played! And since no one has said anything I assume that no one wants to change teams.

Re: Penguins OD 11!
Jr. quarterback for the Akron Zips, Zach Dorazio was shunned by the Awards Committee this season. His performance helped carry the Zips to a MAC title and an 11-2 record.
He threw for 2003 yards with 19 TD's (11int
) and rushed for an outstanding 1510 yards and 21 TD's on 150 attempts. He was the nation's 4th best rusher for the season.
And only the MAC recognized him as an All-Conference QB....
I just hope he stays.

Jsence. Change of plans. I'm headed to the hotel now. Can you play in like 30 mins or so?
Re: Penguins OD 11!
Florida wins a very hard fought title game, 36-20, for their second straight national championship.
The game was a defensive battle for the first three quarters. Florida scored a TD on their first drive, and after a USC punt and a UF FG, the Trojans got a TD drive of their own to make it 10-7. Florida drove down inside the redzone, and then the game turned on its head. After bringing an interception in the endzone out to the two yd line, the Trojans got called for holding on the ensuing running play--and it was apparently in the endzone, because the Gators were awarded a safety. Florida would throw an INT on their next possession, and then the Trojans would return the favor, throwing an INT in the redzone with 18 seconds left before half. Florida led 12-7 at the half.
After a scoreless third quarter that saw another turnover from USC and a long drive by Florida, the game blew up. UF got a FG early in the 4th, and then after forcing a USC punt and a great 22 yd punt return down to the USC 38, Heisman winner Trey Burton hit his TE on a seam route against cover two for a 38 yd TD. USC would drive down and get a TD to make it 22-13, they went for the 2px and the pass was knocked down in the endzone. The ensuing onside kick failed, and UF, knowing they would likely see a heavy blitz, used screens and quick hitting passes to drive down and Andre Debose took the end around 6 yds for a TD to make it 29-13. USC tried to mount a comeback, but an illadvised pass went straight to Florida's LB Greg Agbaje, who took it 42 yds for the touchdown, with the last ten of them seeing him break three tackles and drag a 4th defender the last five yds. USC got a TD to make it 36-20, but the onside kick again failed (only after it was knocked around for 7 seconds) and Florida knelt out the ball.
IT was a terrific game and a worthy national title game, as both teams were well coached and knew the others playbook inside-out (since we ran the same one
), but in the end Florida's speed and a few lucky breaks on both sides of the ball allowed the Gators to lift the crystal ball for the second straight season. Now the Gators await to see how many of their juniors will leave early, as the program looks to be gutted by graduation and early NFL dreams.
Great game TFan, it's always a pleasure to play you and we always have tight battles. I have a feeling you'll be back in the title hunt next season with USC!

Side note, showing how stupid EA is....
....how does my QB win the Heisman and then doesn't make first OR second team All-America?

He shouldn't have won even that, I figured you bribed the voters after my QB cleaned up on all the rest of the awards.jsence2 wrote:Side note, showing how stupid EA is....

Seeing as my QB put those numbers up against teams like Alabama, South Carolina, LSU, and Florida State, and yours were put up against UL-M, UL-L, etc, I think the voters were more impressed with mine

How'd you do against Florida?

All honesty I think I won it because he's the QB of Florida and they were going to the title game with an unbeaten SEC record. For once EA got something realistic

Re: Penguins OD 11!
Not too bad, it took two bad 4th quarter turnovers for to put it away, you sure you want any more of this ever improving FIU squad?
Re: Penguins OD 11!
Done mine, just leaves Florida
Re: Penguins OD 11!
AA WR Quinten Dunbar and AA DT Dominique Easley go pro, two others decide to return. Nobody else is leaving except for seniors.
This is good news for the Gators, although they have a lot to replace on defense.
