The More You Know

Post by Uuaww »

First, congrats to John24 who secured the Administaff Bayou Bucket for only the 2nd time in 21 tries for the Rice Owls. It is the the most lopsided rivalry of the NDL with Randawg losing for only the 2nd time in 14 tries to the owls.

Second, it is time for TORO WATCH! SEASON 21 EDITION.

Toro has the Tennessee Volunteers sitting at a 3-5 record and will need to go 3-1 in his final 4 games to make his first bowl game in 21 seasons. Toro is like the Northwestern Basketball team of the NDL.

His road features no powerhouses, in the following week, he will face off against these 4 teams...

vs. Ole Miss (0-7) Coach: tball
-If Toro is going to make a bowl game, it will all start here. He needs to continue what everyone else has done and take out tball. tball has struggled this season at Ole Miss but he has played one of the toughest schedules in the NDL.
at Vandebilt (4-2) Coach: Runthepound
-Vandy has only lost two games this season, both to ranked opponents. This will be Toro's toughest game, but maybe he will get some luck from the NDL Gods.
vs. Kentucky (2-6) Coach: hitem
-Hitem has disappointed all season at Kentucky and his winless record in the SEC shows it. He is capable of pulling upsets though as one of his two wins is against a ranked Memphis team
vs. Wake Forest (3-6) Coach: chuskerpride
-A career below .500 coach in the NDL, this one will be a dogfight but a winnable game for Toro. The problem might be that chusker has picked up some steam in the 2nd half of the season, giving ranked Clemson and Notre Dame all they could handle

Analysis: It will be tough, but a bowl game isn't a stretch. Sim wins in 3rd season between two quality coaches aren't unheard of. He needs to take care of business first and at least pick up wins against Ole Miss and Kentucky. Both games being at home def. go in his favor as well.

Good luck Toro!

Thx for pointing that out . . . we all could have gone without knowing that . . . as I am having the WORST season EVER.... (not really, but it feels like it).
