1-1 on the night. Dawg is deadly from three. Shot 50% and just buried me early, never had a chance to come back.
Followed that game with a nail bitter against the Pistons came down to the end. Nick Young was unstoppable 5-5 from behind tha arc.

Thunder 101 @ Toronto 78

Thunder shot 57% from the field and 69% from 3 (9/13). DeShawn Stevenson led 5 Thunder in double figures with 22, Wright (19), Wade (16), Landry (12) and Arroyo (10).

nice game nick

And we dont need to adjust shooting...hmmmmmmmm.

I understand guys shouldnt miss wide open jumpers but they shouldnt make every single one either and that is what I have seen so far.

Just my take though.

seems like it would be relative. What i mean is most team FG% are in the 40-50% range right now with a few over 50%. if shooting was made harder, i believe there would just be a shift down if you will. the ones shooting 53% now will shoot 48%. the ones shooting 48% now will shoot 43%..etc etc etc

What are teams shooting in real life relative to what we are doing as a league?

Im not complaining about it but I do think the shooting needed to be adjusted just a tad as it is 99%(exaggeration) certainty a guy is open he is making the shot.

I know we are talking NBA here but you watch games and they arent making them that much. I thought a tad down would be best since we are all getting better at the game and this would compensate for that.

17/29 from 3
12/17 from 3
10/13 from 3
9/13 from 3
7/8 from 3

I know we dont want to get the point of limiting 3s or gameplay and crap and I agree.

i hear you. and i also think the 17/29 is stupid. Not sure what the answer is or if anything needs to be changed.

Problem is, some guys could have Dale Ellis, Larry Bird, and Craig Hodges in their starting lineup and still go 3 of 19 from 3.

I will say everyone seems to be having fun....

Agreed and I should be the last person to request the shooting go down as I suck horribly. As you know though with the "other NDL league", the guys that lose make up the biggest component of the league and hate to see a trend kill that.

We have a strong wait list though, game is a blast and we power on.

Conversation piece for a Wednesday morning after a night of games.

I havent seen an issue in my games with guys making an odd percentage unless they are given wide open looks.

You guys have to remember some of the shooting percentages are up because I will say when a highly rated player gets down in the low block they usually make that baby hook like 90% of the time.

Ive also noticed my opponents gettin some junk baskets after I swat their shot right into their Centers hands for the easy flush.

double that mofo and the % will drop to about 50% but if he's good he'll swing it for a wide open 95% accuracy 3 :D

Couple observations thus far :

~ Game is very addictive and fun despite winning or losing IMO
~ playoffs should be intense
~ its much harder to win/score/grab loose balls on the road than it is at home
~ never stop playing, even if up by 15 or so. that can evaporate in 2 minutes time.
~ every player seems so unique. Seem to be the most accurate sports game to how they actually play in real life.
~ frustrating as hell when your team goes cold from the field, but very realistic.

I'm amazed how realistic the players look. Someone I played recently had Al Harrington on their team. I didn't know it at the time but as soon as I saw him on the court I knew it was him, and this wasn't even a close up camera shot or anything.

the road woes are so realistic that i actually get a little nervous now before road games cause i know i'm going to go on a cold streak. i don't even bother bringing Kyle Korver off the bench in those games either as jump shooting seems to be much tougher on the road unless your name is Carmelo.

dude really wanted to impress his hometown family at MSG as he was like 11 for 12 in the 2nd half against me

I disagree. I played Plasma last night and his zone was giving me fits inside so I started kicking it out and swinging it around to open perimiter guys. I missed 9 shots where I hit the timing perfectly on green including 4 or 5 wide open threes (all with players rated B or better on outside shooting). And other than outside shooting, I've no idea how to you beat a 2-3 zone that clogs up the middle.

This.

I was horrible at jump shooting but now Im learning how to run plays and know the strengths of who can do what in what area of the floor and its a brand new ball game and even more fun when I was sucking really bad.

I still have major frustration with the passing every now and then. I know to use the R passing for the most part but when I am driving on a pick and roll or a fast break with 3 on 1 I dont want to have to press box to get it to someone. Pass it to the nearest guy by default!!! Most frustrating thing in this game that really pisses me off.

Guy wide open down low and the guy will chuck it cross court to a dude in the corner. :x
