Trouble advancing online dynasty.

Any of you experiencing this right now? It's been all of yesterday and now today where it keeps saying not available or something to that effect. Any ideas? Thx guys.

I was able to advance us last night and I know steelcity could advance his last night too. I think Jsence did his over the night as well. So none of us saw issues.

Appreciate it. Yeah it goes through everything and eventually comes up saying "currently unavailable" TWO DAYS NOW! life has ended.

I'm out of town currently but apparently the commish of my OD is having the same issue. He hasn't been able to advance for the last two days either and is getting the exact same error. He even tried to switch commish duties to another guy and it still didn't work.

i was able adv this am. Watch what team is last shown while adving. i had this prob too awhile ago. i noticed the message poped up evrytime it was loading something for boise st. i booted boise and it advanced. then resent invite to boise.

Appreciate it matt. It's always on step 4 of 5 long after the list of teams. Did some browsing on the ea message boards and it looks to be a wide spread problem. Ea has no answer. In season 9 and I'm heartbroken.

yeah if its just you then your stuck til it goes through....damn. Thats were it was stopping in the 24hr dynasty between step 4 and 5. Thats when i noticed it was always boise and then the boot.

I had this problem last weekend; I thought for sure the OD was done.

Finally about 15 tries later it went through.

According to another forum EA estimates they will have a patch out to fix the issue by Friday or Saturday.

Been having the same issue. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. We're in Season 9 and I'm ready to win my third National Title. Battling with one of my good friends for tops in the SEC.

I can't advance my OD and have been trying since Late Thursday night. I hope this patch comes out soon.

This work around was posted in the EA Sports Web Support Forum by a user named UTVOL. It apparently doesn't work for everyone but some people are having success with it. Two guys in my OD that host different OD's both got it to work apparently.

OK, here is what you need to do...step by step to get your dynasty back working. You may have to try this with several members one by one before it works. It worked for us on the 2 nd member attempt.

I am the commissioner of our league, and was able to do the successful attempt all on my PS3 thanks the other user being my brother (his PSN username is on my pS3). If you're the commish, you can either trust other members of your dynasty to try this on their own PS3 s, or get them to send you their PSN ID and password.

Also keep in mind that the person who tried this must have a free commissioner spot open on his user ID, meaning that unless he's paid for the extra commissioner spots, he can't already be the commish of another dynasty.

Here are the steps:

1. I logged in as the other PSN user name
2. Log into the Online Dynasty
3. After it uploads, select YES when promoted to save the OD file
4. proceed to log into the dynasty
5. Log back out of the dynasty
6. On the NCAA 11 menu, scroll to SETTINGS, then all the way over to the right and select File Management
7. Select Load and Delete (i think that's what it's called)
8. Select Online Dynasty - and click to LOAD the dynasty that you just saved ----- this will upload a copy of the dynasty back onto the EA servers under the new commissioner's name-----
9. Name the dynasty, select your team, etc...
10. Invite all users back into the dynasty if they aren't already there ( some may already be in the dynasty) and if all of these steps work, you should be good to go.

Everything in your dynasty should be exactly the same...recruits, rosters, a player's equipment, etc...The only thing I noticed that had changed was some of my formation subs. Other guy's formations subs were fine though.

In our case, after step 10 , because we were in Week 14 and none of us had games that week, we tried to advance right away and it worked. However, should some of your teams have to play that week, they will have to replay that week's games before you can advance...unless they want you to sim the results.

Once you try to advance, and if it works, you should then have everyone, or at least the commissioner RETIRE out of the old dynasty so that you can transfer the commissioner name back the original commish in the new dynasty. Does that make sense?

That was a little confusing.....in order for you to reassign the original commish, you must first retire out of the old dynasty so that the commish has an open commish slot available.

We've already advanced 3 weeks since last night in our new "copy" dynasty with no issues at all. The old dynasty file still will not advance, so we're going to trash it and transfer commish rights back to me. I think that covers it.

Again...this may not work for everybody or may not work on the first try. But, I bet if you just go down the line and try this with each user in your dynasty one at a time, eventually it will work and you'll be back up and running.

It's a small hassle to pay to get the dynasties up and running again! GOOD LUCK, and let me know if you have any other questions. I will try to be more responsive than the EA folks.


Also, I'm not so sure if a patch is coming out soon now. There has been no official word from EA it looks like and I've read some people believe that this is just what customer support is telling people to get them off of the phone.

Who really knows with EA these days.

By doing that, you lose coach history/prestige; you lose records; and you lose user histories.

I would suggest making sure you aren't saving your OD to your hard drive, that's usually the cause of a lot of issues.

Yeah that's the only downside. The commish of my OD that is stuck doesn't want to do it for that very reason. Which makes sense to me becsuse we use the coaching records for promotions and losing prestige could kill your recruiting depending on the team you're using. We're just waiting it out for now in hopes that EA comes through.

Razor that's the same thread I've kept my eye on. Read somewhere in that thread it's a ploy by ea to free up some server space for the release of fight night. Who knows what's going on. I have moved on to the stage of grieving. Fuck that fix, loosing all of our history wouldn't be worth it.

the fight night server thing sounds about right. i have fight night and on several occasions it freezes up when connecting to the ea servers. guess the connection could be there.

also, are the dynasties that froze all in season 9? i haven't read much on this as i'm pretty tired of playing ncaa anyway but it seems the ones i've seen have been in season 9. and in the fix thread it said they were in week 14 and that's what my dynasty was on. my son's dynasty is in season 2 and we haven't frozen there and in penguin's dynasty we are in season 5 and no freeze. seems odd.
