NDL CFFL Season Five Draft

You never waited 2 days for me to pick sir. Also I was not allowed on the boards and it hard to make a blind pick when things were not updated.

I have a reason, but now that I am back on boards that will not be a problem.

Guys, as we get closer to the end of the draft, two reminders

1) make sure you draft a freshman (or RS freshman) that you will redshirt and not use this year, but keep his career on your roster
2) everyone gets a different # of draft choices, as you draft until you reach 20 total players (some players have more redshirts from earlier years then others)

Here is how many players each coach will draft, once you reach that total, you're done in this draft

Guys, we might make another change in websites to run the league. The one I first found, CFFL, requires everyone to have the same amount of position players, as in, everyone has to have 4 qbs, 6 rbs, 6 wrs, 2 tes, etc, etc. We've always run this league with an unbalanced bench roster based on position, so that wasn't going to work with us.

So this morning I set up another league on fantrax.com . I will send out invites later on, but I think this will work out for us, and as before, its 100% free, which is huge, and has some more features then the CFFL site did, so that's a bonus as well. If anyone has concerns about this, let me know, otherwise, expect to get an email invite late tonight or tomorrow.

I'll look into it also, but fantrax seemed like it offered every possible feature we could want, and was easy to use, while in the past, CBS didn't have many options, you were stuck with certain settings they wanted.

I remember why no CBS now, just checked it out.

1) You can only do an automated or live draft, can't upload offsite draft results, but, most importantly
2) CBS limits leagues to no more then 10 teams.

So, I think Fantrax is still the best option. Hey, remember the first two-three years it was done by me scoring it in Texasfan's excel scoresheet, and it still worked out, so Fantrax is still an improvement.

Yes, last year it was free, this year it costs, and I don't believe they let you have 16-team leagues this year either, that's a new change.

I double-checked, they don't allow 16-team leagues, at least without playing $80 for an upgrade. But I sent them a question about it, maybe they will allow us back in with that setting, grandfather us in, but I won't count on it. Not really a rush to get us set up with either site until the draft is over.
