im sure mike and cw coulda blanked alot more people than they did

not to take anything away from biffy though, im sure he'd even tell you its almost a pain in the ass to keep the margin less than 35. ive been in situations like that where its A vs D and you cant even MAKE the other person score cause your defense is too good. i ended up taking a safety and "blowing coverage" in man defenses just to keep it somewhat fun for the other guy
how long ago was this? :P

It was the 1st block of the season and it's Western Michigan.

Hugme is a badass, but I'm guessing he didn't have a single top 25 point in the rankings.

When you look at some of the other biggest upsets, it shows a team ranked #78 or #84, etc.
So I am wondering where WMU was ranked.
And I am not taking anything away from you or hugme.

But the biggest upset does not take into account the coach behind the team. It is using the Massey ratings, so I was just curious.

Rutgers defeat of previoulsy undefeated West Virginia (only loss of the season) in Season 9 to keep them out of the National Championship game was pretty big, if I recall. Right Nole?

At the time it happened, sure it was a big upset. But those numbers look at the teams through the entire season. As such, LSU has lost since then and WMU has kept winning. Youll see many of those games were teams than won only once or twice against teams ending with only one or two losses

I remember when La Tech beat Ohio St a few seasons ago, I am surprised that wasnt in the top upsets.. But very cool stuff. Glad to see this topic blew up after I went to bed.

could have been, list wasn't updated.

I also still stand that SuddenBlues is one of the few coaches who can beat anyone and lose to anyone in a given season.
