I guess it depends on how often and when it is used. What gets me is people running the HB screens on 3rd and long.

Did someone use it a lot.

HB screen on 3rd and long I get, its kind of like running a draw out of shotgun on 3rd and long. Its a play you want to get 5-6 yards but you are not expecting to get a first down but if you catch them just right BOOM, 1st down.

I'v been burned by it plenty. Just frustrating cuz it don't seem to matter what defense I'm in. Man to man cover 2, heavy zone, and of course when I blitz. To compound my frustrations its always a elephantine type play and seems to come when its needed most.

i think ive broken 1 out of 50+ that ive run. it sure seems like it works much better on me than it does for me, but thats the case for most things in this game.

I used to use it more than I should but have really toned it down, but used at the right moment, it is a good play. I rather gain 2 yards than get my pass intercepted anyway!

It all depends on wheter or not the EA gods want the play to work.

The blocking is either over the top awesome or down right shitty. You WR will block 3 guys, while a lineman will roam aimlessly out in the flat. I especially enjoy seeing an All American impact cornerback being blocked for 15 mins by a mid major 4 ft 2 wideout.

But if it's in the game it's in the game.

screens dont bother me at all but i play man prol 90% of the time...just have to be on the look out for it...read and attack!!

No offense, but this is the WORST excuse for this game. There is so much shit that is in this game that guys take advantage of it is sick. 1 and 1/2 season's running as a ghost/commish in the Farm will tell you that.

My issue with the screens/HB swing pass is that it can be too easy in this game. Not to mention most teams only run 1-2 screens in a game...I've seen up to 5-10 in a game which is total B.S. I can understand if you are seeing a blitz every play, but here's the problem that EA set up with this play in the game:
it is GOLD against a pass zone defense with no blitz...which makes no realistic sense. It should be golden against a man/zone blitz, but isn't. This is why guys run it on 3rd and long...because most guys are realistic and play a cover 2/3 zone on 3rd down to stop the deep pass. Realistically, if a wr/hb screen were called in this situation, it would get stopped after only a small gain (so works like a draw)..but EA made it so that this play easily breaks for an 80 touchdown almost every time against this defense. Therefore it can be abused.
My major beef is more with the way guys run the screen. Total crap when they sprint back 20 yard with their QB to set it up...or if after that they throw deep. Screens plays are realistically never meant to be thrown deep.

Or throw the jump pass every pass. Or run it off tackle every play. Or run a certain style defense every play.

Just report it in the coaches report, isn't that what it is there for.

that reminds me. im tired of fucking liars. liars liars liars. Everyone ive faced has said "gg" and if i make a reference to 5/5 theyre like "same". i got a midseason report of 92 (23/25)..someone or some people are lying. Pathetic.

and corey i agree 100%, everyone here bitches and moans.

Do me a favor, before you go and start bitching, go to a co-worker and tell them ur NCAA problems, IF THEY dont call you a fag after you say it, report back and you can bitch all you want.
