Post-patch, I put the starter back in and threw for almost 400 yards. Game feels like it's back to last year's version. It's certainly more fun that pre-patch.

*BIG ISSUE ALERT*

Probably noted already but, there is a serious bug going on with "No Huddle". Both Offense and Defense have an issue cycling through formations as you can scroll but the base formation doesn't change...Fucking weird & costly

Well, I see blank formations in the custom playbook when playing a game, or in practice. The patch fixed the bunching of the players, and you do not get stuck. But it is not totally fixed... I am wondering if anyone else is getting this. You see your playbooks, and you switch between formations, there should be one or two blank screens. Weird.

I had that happen when the patch first happened, then I went in and started over with my Custom PB, and have not had the problem since. I had never seen it before, and never saw it after.

Yeah I haven't used my old PB, since i'd planned on scrapping it for the new season anyway. I made a new one and it even has a couple formations that don't have 3 plays on every line and it has worked flawless thus far in the dynasty. As for online... i'll assume it carries over (knock on wood)

fyi

i logged in last night when i had a few mins to check out the damage to the playbooks

the custom one you originally created is still there its just messed up by the update and the reseting of audibles

you also have to RENAME your playbook, SAVE it by pusing L3 in, you can then go back and delete your original book

once you have the new book, go in like before and change all your audibles to forms you know you will keep, u can then go back and remove the forms that are audible defaults (pistol shit, 5 wide shit and etc)

i only tested mine offline, but i couldnt even use my original one offline (plays wouldnt show) and now they do

there were a couple forms i couldnt get rid of (it wouldnt let me)

but you get up to 40 formations and i only use 30 anyway

If you haven't ever checked it out before, I would recommend taking a look at Holmey's playbook site the he helped another guy create. You can save your playbook setup there all the way down to the order of the plays in case something like this ever happens. He has really done a great job with it.

I've found that even hurry-up defense is fucked up, even if I'm just playing the computer. If I was in base nickle, I can't be in the 3-3-5 nickle during the hurry up, it will say I am, but only show and come up out in base. Same if I'm in Dime, I can't then chose the 3-2-6, only other base Dime.

WTF EA.

The patch overall was just epic failure and imo took the game backward in more areas then it improved.

I've gone back and forth on it and now wonder why I ever thought this was an upgrade.

Disconnects do not seem any better, custom playbooks aren't unuseable but worse than pre-patch, and I do not see any difference with teleporting DBs or sky soaring linebackers either.

Definite downgrade.
