Penn St
Re: Penn St
Nebraska better rape Penn State this Saturday. They are a better team than Penn State and they haven't had to deal with a mid-week coaching change. Although, based on recent play-calling, that might be a negative.

If JoePa gets fired for using the chain of command but nothing more, shouldn't the grad assistant, who is now a recruiting coordinator, get fired for doing the same?
Hmm...

Best line of the news conference. Figured it was just some radical kid from the school newspaper, tryin' to be heard on that shitty Sportscenter.

This dude on SC telling us this is a monumental event that we will remember where we were on this night forever is stupid.
As it is sad that this actually happened to the kids of course.
but to tell me that I am affected by Paterno being fired????? I could careless. In fact I am glad he is gone. Never like the guy as a coach.
Good move by the Board for sure. Dude was a walking fossil.

I have been thinking the same. also.
Re: Penn St
The talking heads have gone completely retarded. It is a damn shame all of this came out on a Wednesday and not, like, NFL Sunday. Then we would hear about it for two seconds and we'd move on.

Re: Penn St
Not sure I get this. The only difference in Joe's situation and McQ's situation is that McQ saw the act first hand.DRiccio21 wrote:agree 100% and i said this about 10 pages ago.ReignOnU wrote: The only way PSU survives is to blow it up. President, AD, UPD head, every coach that may have had an inkling. There would likely be some collateral damage in terms of coaches that didn't have anything to do with it, but I think it needs to be a 100% flip in order for recruits to be willing to buy in. If you put a name like (god I hate typing this because it's so cliche at this point) Urban Meyer in position, the recruits are still going to show up.
its absolutely what needs to happen and should have happened yesterday.
the thing that i have a hard time with is McQ could have completely turned his back and pretended he never saw anything and still been on the fast track to a great job at Penn St. Instead he made the decesion to report it to Joe Pa with the faith that Joe Pa would do the right thing and he never did, or did enough. my problem is there might be 1 or 2 or a dozen other coaches/players who saw stuff and just never said or did anything that might still be around.

Re: Penn St
Here's to hoping that the college kids don't act like college kids... oh boy.
1 more game... really? He's fired. We want Joe... really? He's fired. Next up... Occupy Paternoville.
So after bashing Joe Paterno most of the night, Trevor Matich just confused the hell out of me.

Re: Penn St
LoL, the media is reporting that the students who believe that the BOT caved in to mass media, are now upset with the media and yelling at the media that are present and a group gathered and flipped over a media van. Shocking.

So stupid why people are supporting Paterno especially students on the campus. They do realize what happened right?

Re: Penn St
Heading to sleep... as I said, hopefully these college kids don't act like college kids. I don't condone it, but I do find the irony in the media van getting flipped to be pretty funny. I really think ESPN is trying to feed the frenzy and create something more out of the gathering than really would be there. That part is kind of sickening to listen to. It's like they are begging for something more. Hopefully they don't get it.

Does not matter.. you dont know of any unwarranted touching of any kind to a child and just go about your business. His excuse of I told someone will not make him innocent
