Green Bay Packers

Post by plasma1896 »

With the Packers remaining games listed below, are they going to lose a game this year? They last lost a game with Rodgers at qb on December 13,2010 at Detroit 7-3 when Rodgers was knocked out of the game with a injury. With the playoffs and last season and this season, they have won 15 games in a row. If there is a lookout game, might be the game at New York in 3 weeks. Im not a Packers fan,im just wondering if there is any team who can beat them with home field advantage in the playoffs. opponent might want to wish for bad weather in playoffs to slow them down.

Sun 11/20 Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Thu 11/24@ at Detroit
Sun 12/4 @New York Giants

Sun 12/11 Oakland Raiders
Sun 12/18 @Kansas City Chiefs
Sun 12/25 Chicago Bears
Sun 1/1 Detroit Lions

All of those teams will badly want wins (I guess so will the Packers for home field). While GB is certainly good enough to win every game they play, those opponents are pretty tough IMO. Everyone of them is a legitimate playoff contender aside from maybe the Bucs. Tampa Bay beat them last year if I am not mistaken though.

I would not wanna be playing GB at all but I think they will have too big a target on their back to go undefeated especially considering they will be playing teams like Oakland, KC, Detroit twice, and Chicago who have work to do to get in the playoffs. They'll slip up IMO.

Won't they rest guys the final two weeks if they have home field locked up?

I'm with you though their o looks unreal and unstoppable at the moment.

I think that will be there killer as well but those arent easy games by any stretch.

Hard to beat a team twice (Detroit) and the Bears will be no slouch.

The Lions are playing like crap though lately.

Who knows?

Colts did. Patriots didn't.

I think they'll slip up somewhere, best guess is @NYG, and then maybe one to the Lions.

They have the 2nd worst pass defense in the NFL. That's gotta catch up to them at some point...unless Rodgers keeps having one of the GOAT QB seasons, of course lol.

bears will play them tough. Giants and Lions could too

Speaking of Detroit, do they lose their composure every week now?

If the game was in Chicago I'd feel more confident but with it being at Lambeau on Xmas day I'd say my bears chances of winning in Green Bay is slim to none.

Detroit has no running game and no chance. Bears could play them tough.

Green Bays doesnt run the ball very well, and it can get pretty windy in December. Bears have an advantage vs packers against the run and running the ball, so if the wind can be a factor it could reduce Rogers effectiveness.

He is absolutely amazing.

Watching him last night was fun. He just doesnt make any mistakes with the ball and is just surgical with a combination of accuracy and power on his throws.

The Packers are going to be tough to beat the remainder of the year. If I had a team that has the best shot its the Saints but in Green Bay I dont see it happening.

Even though wind could be a factor, it did not seem to slow them down last year. I would have to say that the best chance might just be the Lions. But it would all come down to the Packers O-line slowing down and keeping Suh in check.

Once Suh slams down on Rodgers knee or makes him concuss on a late hit the Packers season will be over.

quick guesses
Sun 11/20 Tampa Bay Buccaneers -9
Thu 11/24@ at Detroit -6
Sun 12/4 @New York Giants -4
Sun 12/11 Oakland Raiders -9.5
Sun 12/18 @Kansas City Chiefs -7.5
Sun 12/25 Chicago Bears -6.5
Sun 1/1 Detroit Lions -10.5
Without a Rodgers injury it'll be tough for them to lose considering how good he is and how good the WR corps is. It's crazy what this combo can do with the rules that help the passing game so much

Everyone thought New England was gonna run the table, back in 2007, and the Giants got lucky and stopped that. Those 1998 Broncos were 13-0 and looking unstoppable with Elway and Terrell Davis, averaging 34 points a game. Then they went to the Meadowlands and got beat by a .500 Giants team. But I'm rootin' for the Pack to the run the table. Anything to shut up those overrated '72 Dolphins and their pussy undefeated season.

Yeah Im with Knappy, and I remember that 98 game broncos vs Giants, still remember Amani Toomer catching the game clinching TD towards the back of the endzone. I think that is a stumbling block because playing football in December at giants stadium, the winds are unpredictable and I think a glaring week spot for the Pack is they cant run the ball. If someone/or something can figure out how to slow down the passing attack and make them realy on the run that could be trouble. Giants is where it is going to happen if it will.
