should be a fun one... Plasma and I had some great Stanford/UConn scrims last year in which i'd say we were probably close to even.

like always, it comes down to turnovers for me.

FSU 21 Huskies 17

FSU got a long screen pass out of a 5 wide set that surprised the Huskies on 3rd down in the first quarter that scampered for about 80 yards. The Huskies held them to 3.

UConn comes out passing as McEntee goes 4 for 5 for 60 yards and gets them into the red zone. Next play he gets sacked, injured ... FOR THE GAME Mike Box comes in on a 3rd down, his first play and throws a pick. Huskies get nothing out of the drive.

Huskies take a 14-6 lead after some miraculous bombs were completed... both were unintentional passes that somehow my WR caught.

FSU scores in the 3rd q and elects to go for 2. They get it. 14-14

UConn throws a pick. FSU and UConn both play solid defense for a few drives. FSU then throws a pick at their own 30 yard line, the UConn DB starts to break away from the pack and a fat Dlineman dives and looks like he misses the DB but somehow gets his shoestring at the 9 yard line preventing the pick 6. First down, the Huskies complete a pass to the 2 yard line. 2nd down Huskies run off tackle and get stuffed. 3rd down a pass is called and Box decided to take the sack rather than force a pass. Huskies only get 3.

Huskies 17 FSU 14

4th q with about 5:50 to go, FSU goes on a long drive which consisted of a couple great 3rd down completions. Eventually FSU is able to punch it on a toss that everyone in the stadium knew was coming but they couldn't do anything about it.

FSU 21 Huskies 17

UConn gets the ball with just over 1:30 to go. The Huskies get a first down, start to run the no huddle offense, get a great play call which has a wide open Kashif Moore on a curl and the backup Mike Box over threw him about about 20 yards and the DB was sitting there for the pick.

FSU ran 3 times, Huskies burnt all 3 timeouts. Huskies got the ball back but were too deep in their own field position to do anything.

Great Game by Plasma, always a class act and a great guy to have as a cup champion. no excuses from me, i wish things happened differently and i admit i was pretty shell shocked for a quarter trying to adjust to a qb i've never used but in a game like that you have to expect anything and everything and the next guy needs to step up, today he couldn't.

Dave as always ,its always a battle between our squads bro. i think every game we have played has been a battle and a instant espn classic. congrats again on your run to the final ,and win or lose tonight, i knew it was going to be a great game , and the best part about it, a great chess match. you did a hell of a job with that backup qb bro. hell of a job! i got a special picture for you from our game. here you go-
