I completely agree. That schedule was brutal. To think Pitt was left off some ballots is mind boggling.

The voting was so far off this season. I contribute a lot of it to so many games getting played last minute. It took me 3 attempts and a spreadsheet to reorganize teams in order or records and then reorg by SOS etc....

All this and I bet my votes were flawed as well. At least there was some thought and effort to what I did and I hope others made that effort as well.

Yeah, there's no way in hell Nevada should be ranked 5 BCS spots ahead of me when we had nearly the same SOS and I won 12 games and beat a 10-win team twice and a 9 win team to boot with a margin of victory over 21 ppg.

Oh well.

I'll open up the can of worms, if anyone has a problem with the way I voted i can explain why I voted the way I did for my votes.

Texas automatically drops 1 spot just because they are Texas

it's all good, if i wouldn't have lost twice it wouldn't have been an issue

i am a little confused about being completely left off but oh well, probably just the same issue that was ran into at the very first poll this season :D

A few observations....besides the biggest being that Pitt was left off two ballots (that's just....wow)

* I'm ranked in the top 9 on 11 ballots, and unranked on 11 ballots. Go figure
* Multiple people put Houston on their ballot ahead of me, some of whom even left me off of it....
* VVV voted me 21st, and Nick voted me 25th; I have to give credit where it's due, I figured they'd leave me off completely.
* A few people voted for me ahead of Texas and even South Carolina....I can't condone that at all
* Multiple people put 9-3 Southern Miss (whom I beat) ahead of me
* Almost every person who left me off their ballot has either had a personal issue with me at some point, or just simply dislikes me for an unknown reason....but all voting is done fairly
* The same person who put Nevada #1....put me at #2. I'm even more dumbfounded than I was earlier. How do you put either of us ahead of Oregon, Pitt, or about 8 other teams???

So all in all, I'd say the voting in here is....interesting.

Do you spend most of your day thinking about yourself, or just do it on the forums? Maybe theres a reason why people dont like you, or maybe most are like me and just get annoyed with all your posts about yourself.

each week i voted i left a decent team off

it was an honest mistake as I am sure the others were. Either that or they will not vote for the person which is STUPID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I voted as honest as I could but I get confused to say the least then frustrated and by week 14 I am just voting on who has lost the least. I know this is not the way to vote.

I'm sorry, I'll break down the voting for everybody then. Would that make you happy? They were OBSERVATIONS, not complaints, not me talking about myself, they were OBSERVATIONS from me spending 5 min looking at who voted where. Some of which were about me feeling I was ranked TOO high. I just simply hoped people would take time and vote with care, some people (not me) were clearly effected by the voting.

And KDog you didn't really make any glaring mistakes that I could see. Voting was tough this year, it took me over an hour to do mine. Some people took 2-3 hours. Just some of the things (as Doc said) make you shake your head. Oh well....I'll enjoy the game with Arkansas, should be a fun game!

I think its a good thing that we as coaches can vote the way we want, but I do kind of find it funny how some coeaches can rank a team as high as like 5 for instance and then another coach can leave them of their ballot. The despearity between some of these votes is kind of funny, but thats how the system works. I do hope tho that some coaches arent voting against teams just cause they have a gripe with that coach. I mean honestly are we still in junior high?

I'm really surprised how much I enjoyed putting together my poll, especially seeing my team wasn't involved. I really feel good about how I came about my top 25 and am enjoying all the banter as guys discuss their choices. Even though I didn't come into the NDL until week 10, I did play all of Rice's games, so I feel like I've been here for nearly a full season. I can't wait for the draft and Christmas Eve....and hopefully playing my first league game of the season! ;)

Whos to say they did or didnt? Based on the system that the NDL has created, the system asks coaches to rank the teams in the coaches opinion. Each coach expressed his opinion and like it or not thats it. So what someone got screwed out of a bowl or a spot. Maybe that team should have made a tougher schedule or won a game they lost and not left it up to the voters. My point is that everyone that voted using the system that the NDL created did their job, and its not fair for you or anyone else to criticize their efforts, cause at the end of the day they did what the NDL said for them to do and that was vote.

Those are points I made, simply using my team's rank as a quick reference point. I agree with everything you said. Hell, I am shocked you ranked me as high as you did and was quite impressed by it.

I'll tell you what, doing this last night gave me a new-found respect for the people who do it in real life every week, it's not easy at all.
