if thats how he feels thats the problem right there.packsyD22 wrote:Whats wrong with Nevada giving himself a number one vote if thats how he feels? He lost one game just like everyone else I would have done the same.
I went 12-0 w UTEP one season and voted myself number one as well as at Virginia I went 13-0 and voted myself number one. Why wouldn't you do that in real life as well?

Well it's a moot point anyways, he wasn't the lone #1 vote for Nevada.
There isn't any questioning how people voted is there? I'm curious about a vote, where a team was ranked much higher than a team that beat said team twice. And no, it wasn't the higher ranked team that voted himself higher.

You're not the only one, I beat Houston twice and there are multiple ballots where he's ranked and I'm not.
Not sure if some people simply blindly followed the voting aid, the Massey, or just didn't care, but there are certainly a lot of questions. I don't care tbh where I ended up, I just would like to see a bit more care put in since it is obvious some people didn't spend more than 4 minutes on it, and it probably cost Doc a title shot.

The same can be said for me and Texas but i haven't really said shit about it. It's over and done with. I'm just happy to be in a good bowl match up. If I was Miami I'd be pissed. that match up could have been great.jsence2 wrote:GeorgesGoons wrote:Well it's a moot point anyways, he wasn't the lone #1 vote for Nevada.

This stuff happens in real life too though. Take the final Harris Poll this season for example. Despite Arkansas beating South Carolina by 16 points just three weeks earlier Fran Curci put Arkansas at #16 and USCe at #6, Tony Jones had Arkansas at #19 and USCe at #8 and Craig Morton had Arkansas at #14 and USCe at #8. I don't care where you put them overall but both teams had 10-2 record with Arkansas beating USCe straight up so Arkansas should have been in front of them in every poll in reality. Instead you have guys in real life that come out with wacky ballots like this. It's just not a perfect world even when it is their job to do it right.GeorgesGoons wrote:Well it's a moot point anyways, he wasn't the lone #1 vote for Nevada.

some people are just not gonna vote for certain people in the ndl. AJ has admitted to this before and he for sure is not the only one. People like/dislike people here and it is stupid to think that it doesn't play a factor in how certain people vote.
Yes the last vote is public but calling people out is probably the single dumbest thing you can do in the NDL as the shit storm it will bring will not be worth whatever you're trying to prove. It doesn't matter if you are right or wrong, what's done is done and it's best to just leave it.

Some of these guys don't realize how long this has been goin on for because this is their first time having success in this league and being ranked that high.
Get used to it fellas and move on. If you don't think like ability in the league has something to do with the vote and it's all based on your team performance than your a sucker anyway.

This is the progression of jsence reading the voting results.
Step 1 - Reading

Step 2- Comprehending

Step 3 - Anger begins

Step 4 - Anger peaks

Step 5 - Posting on the boards

Step 6 - Acceptance of fate

This quote made it all worth it. Besides, I spent less time putting that together than you've spent making "observations" in two separate threads about the poll results and your bowl game.jsence2 wrote:Oh well, good job wasting some of your time

My thoughts exactly.LetsGoPeay wrote:This quote made it all worth it. Besides, I spent less time putting that together than you've spent making "observations" in two separate threads about the poll results and your bowl game.
jsence, you obviously care!
You have posted several messages in a few threads stating things that show you care.
Stuff about Nevada being ahead of you, stuff about you not being in people's top 25....to name a few off the top of my head.
It is ok that you care. I am a competitive person too.
But stop denying it man.
