Don't worry. I told the NCAA that you give me advice on games. Sorry!
I actually already told them about your bookkeeping ring and "costa rica"

The Final Vote is hard to perfect for everyone. Honestly, I think the other 6 votes mean nothing because not all the games are played, and games aren't played in order. I always check how my votes are compared to the rest of the league and most of the time I am voting for the same guys as others. To come on here and give observations that isn't "complaining" is just as interesting as some peoples votes. Just saying. I could care less and I always try to make sure that I research the top 5 or so because THOSE are the important spots. I did see that I left some people off, but that's because I don't agree with a preseason poll and the polls that follow should affect where people end up. Should be the body of work, not that because someone was preseason #1 and ended up with 4 losses they DESERVE to be in the top 25. Just my 2 cents.

That is honestly part of mine cougnix.
If the last round of polls, Miami ends up at #4, it doesn't mean that in this poll, I will put them at #3 or #5 respectively.
I still put teams where I feel they should be based on the data that I am looking at.

Just like in my final poll. Again, crowes, I apologize for using your team as an example, but when I look at who Missouri beat and SOS and all the data I look at, I did not have them in my top 5 just because they were ranked #2 (or whatever it was) going into this poll or whatever he was ranked.
Right or wrong, that is how I do it.

The bottom line is that I enjoy reading what people think should have happened and they say things that I never thought of. But in the same breath complain about how it is done just doesn't work with me. Next season I am going to vote the bottom 25 in my top 25...

i'm really glad that I wasn't in the discussion for a title game bid because there are some inexplicable votes out there

...but in the end if you just go undefeated it won't matter

I fail to see how this is crazy however. In the 13 year history of the BCS, only one time has a 2 loss team been chosen for the title game over a one loss team. That was in '07 when 1 loss Kansas was left out of the title game. The only reason they didn't make the title game that year though was because their lone loss came the last week of the season when they were #2 and they fell out of that spot and had no games to make the ground back up. You could argue that if that loss had just come a few weeks earlier they would have easily been in the title game. LSU just flat out backed in to that game this way beacause of the perfect timing of Kansas' loss and they fact that it kept them out of the Big 12 title game while LSU got to play that extra game.

Mizzou's lone loss came when they were ranked #1 I think and with two weeks left in the season. They lost to a top 10 team which kept them from dropping that far. If this situation had happened in real life then it would be shocking to me if they didn't rise back to #2 over the last two weeks solely due to the fact that they are the only other one loss team besides Oregon.

I get how you do it by blowing it up and starting over and that is a great idea but I don't think you can really fault people who do their polls here the way that most voters irl do their own.

Razorback, that's because we are still adding one point for each loss. I'm still wondering why we are doing that if we are trying to be as close to.the real life system as possible.

do you look at all teams cause I would like to know how you put Alabama so high with that sos and have SCar so low with that sos, sec title and beat your #9 Gators?

I had you top 6--with the schedule you had, the wins you had, I thought you were one of the best teams in the league.

razorback, that was an example, I completely understand how and why people voted them in the top 3.
I was just using it as an example how I could voice my opinion, but in the end, it doesn't matter. People are free to vote how they choose to vote.
Some we will agree with and some we will not.

Looking over some of the voting I did on this last poll I'm a little embarrassed by some of my decisions. However, not that it should be a great excuse, but I can say I was actually out of country for work the last two weeks and didn't get to spend a lot of time online.

With that said, my apologies to the few teams out there that I did screw over on that.
