As some of you know my son is a 6'3 freshman PG in HS. They are seven game into the season and is playing varsity. He had his best game of the season so far. I like his quick shot. I hooped in college...played against a few guys 4-5 years older that couldn't shoot that well, that quick. Excellent skill to have at that age.

Yeah, but it's more so to get input from other guys. I've coached him since he was in 2nd grade. I'll post a few more videos of my other players once I get them. They are all freshman now and are excelling on the court and in the classroom. We would be practicing now, but since they are in HS our season won't start until March. I can tell you right now that he moves pretty decent without the ball. Saw a couple instances when I guy in the post had the ball and he was at the three point line standing and his defender had his back to him...good teaching point to make sure he is constantly moving...especially if the defender loses sight of him. Would have been a great time to slide toward the baseline or even cut to the hoop. Looking forward to more videos, love to coach HS hoops. Their team is gonna be really good when they are seniors.

They are planning to find one high school for all of them to go to. Right now they are all spread out. Great point on moving without the ball. You should check out the Cypress and South videos on the marinerbasketball.com site.

GREAT crossover and dish at about the 2:30 min mark in the Cypress game. I am understanding more why the guards stand around a bit...the big man is REALLY active...but also a bit of a black hole lol. He has really nice footwork though. Seems to me that your son has a size advantage every game I watch though...how's his post game? I was a big PG when I played (6'3" also) and that was a big advantage for me too...since most HS guards are 5'6" to 5'10" it might be a good thing to add if he doesn't already have a post game.

He has a great post game. I always had him playing in paint for my travel team. We taught all of our guards to post up. He usually has a size advantage at PG. He's about ^'4 now and growing, lol. They expect him to get to 6'8-6'9, btu we shall see. I say 6'6-6'7, which is huge for a PG. There are a few move cross overs. Check the lemon bay, south. The best one is at the end of the cape game. That was was just sick.
