There are different ways you can capture video but they all involve using a capture device. You can get a cheap one, like a Dazzle, for around $75. Some are cheaper than that but you get what you pay for.

I use a more expensive one called a HAVA. I use it because it allows me to play in HD while it records in SD. The cheaper ones make you play in SD which sucks because it is hard to see.

You can do a YouTube search on recording your games and it will show you how to setup.

I edit using Sony Vegas. You can also edit in Windows Movie Maker for free.

It can be a little complicated at first but it is fun once you figure it out.
