It doesn't make him soft. Gasol has always been soft. This just adds to it. He has 2 inches and position on Blake. That gif should have never happened.

you're smarter than this matty.....

is gasol supposed to max jump for every single rebound? the guy has a 50 inch vert and jumped over him like he would have 99% of the league.

I can hear your Gasol is soft argument, but i dont believe this adds to it at all

Smarter, yes.

But for whatever reason, when it comes to Gasol, Hollywood loses the ability to be rational.

All the guy did was be the 2nd best player on a team that won 2 titles, including picking up the guy Matt prays to at night when he was shooting his team out of the gym. If that is soft, then I wish the Hornets had a few more of those soft players.

Have to ask the question. With everything going on in Orlando this season, is it possible that Howard has passed (or will pass) James on the hated scale? A total mess.

Even if Pau is soft, he is much appreciated as a Laker (for me at least). His personality is a compliment to Kobe's on the court so they can mesh well. Skill sets fit together too. While not a great defender, he is better than most rant about.

Bynum's emergence has threw a wrench in, but still Pau has found ways to be effective on the court with Drew. Definitely like Brown playing him some with the second unit to help get him going and keeping the engagement high. Lakerland, in general, seems to undervalue him.

I guess the technical answer is yes. But he'd have to keep having more and more and more screwups be leaked like this.

Realistically, I'd say there is almost no shot of passing James's hatred just based on James's popularity.

Never said Gasol was a bad player, but if he wasn't as soft as he is, I'm not sure the Lakers could be stopped.

its not a coincidence the 3 probably best true big men (howard, bynum, cousins) in the NBA are nut cases. these guys have been babied because of their size their whole life.

Sounds like Odom is out in Dallas... odds that he's in a Laker jersey for the playoffs?

0%

he wouldn't be eligible to play on another team for the playoffs. also, from what i read he's still a member of the team but they are just letting him go home and calling him inactive the remainder of the season.

Isn't the rule that the only team a player can't sign with after being released is the team that traded him during that season?

if i understand the rule correctly, you have to be on an active roster by march 23rd to be eligible to play in the playoffs with that team

Gotcha, I'm thinking of a different rule.

I'm thinking of the one where they stopped guys from being traded, then bought out, then 30 days later going back to their original teams as part of an "understood" deal.

The new CBA has some sort of rule in place that says a guy traded can't return to the team that traded him for that season or for a calendar year, or something like that.

yup, thats true too... like Fisher wasn't able to sign with the Lakers after he was released.
