Apology from Texas Tech

Post by carlwayne1 »

Guys,
I have to an extend an apology to the league for my piss poor amount of games I have gotten in.

I have been in this league since its inception. With the exception of one season when my wife was in the hospital I have been good about getting my games in on time and I think I really don't cause any problems on gameplay or anything like that.

Because of medical bills and continuing health problems for my wife that caused missed time at her work... this fall I took an extra coaching job (I'm already coaching girls' softball) helping the football team at the high school I teach at. Essentially, I take their film and opponents film and break it down (formation, coverage, play, down, distance, gain, etc.) in a program call APEX. When I'm finished, I can produce tendency reports on teams, such as their run/pass percentage on 2nd down and 5-7 yards and also pull up specifc plays to watch based of off anything the coaches really want (down, distance, hash, quarter, run, pass, specific play, etc.)

It's really cool and I enjoy it. I have also mentioned to the coaches how valuable NDL has been in giving me the ability to break down their film for them. Essentially, they have put a lot of trust in me and it also saves them a lot of time. I pretty much go straight from softball to our football games to chart plays. Once the game is over I go to the coaches office and break down our film all night and try to get an hour of sleep on the couch before coaches meetings at 7:30 am. I work on opponent film until the wee hours during the week. I'm adjusting to the schedule and managing the time better and also getting better/more efficient.

This is not an excuse for getting games in, just an explanation. The fact of the matter is that I love the NDL and everything that goes into it. I WANT to make things right and get caught up. If you have an outstanding game with me, please PM me so we can get it in. I'm available during nights this week. I am also available Saturday evening and Sunday. Again I apologize...I want to make things right and get caught up.

Thanks,
Carl

Probably not at this moment because of lack of practice. But the cool thing is that if someone posted on a site (like sendfile) a WMV (preferred) or AVI. I could actually put it in APEX and break you and your opponent down into pretty much all of the same tendencies. You could also then pull up video. Another cool thing that you can do with the program is when you see a play you want to save, there is a clip it feature that also you to pull a clip of just that play. It's small and you can actually email it to people, post on a website, or whatever (I know you can do that with plays already, but gives it to you in a more advanced way)

Wife is doing better than last year at this time actually. It's just not a condition that goes away and it's something that has change her life tremendously in what she can accomplish. She's learning to cope better though. We just got kicked in the nuts on all these medical bills and presciption payments beyond what her school district covers on medical insurance.

without sounding fucked... have you ever considered for the time being (while the bills are outrageous) moving to Canada? I don't know the situation you and your wife are in medically and financially and i dont wanna get personal, i just think if worst case, that would probably be better.

just a suggestion, let the canada sucks bashing..BEGIN!

IT'S CALLED THE "HILL-BURTON ACT" ANY MEDICAL PLACE THAT RECIVES FED'S MONEY HAS TO WRITE OFF BILLS FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN'T AFFORD TO PAY. CONTACT YOUR CONGRESS PERSON FOR INFO ON IT! OR HIT ME UP. I USED TO BE A BENEFITS REP FOR UAW/GM I FOUGHT THE INSURANCE COMPANYS FOR 20 YEARS. I CAN TELL YOU THIS BLUE CROSS/BLUE SHIELD PAYS PENNY'S ON THE DOLLAR!! THE HOSPITAL BILL IS THE START OF PAYMENT NEGOTITIONS. BEEFY

Haven't had the honor to run into for a game, scrimm, or anything since I've been aboard but from what I do know about ya is that you're like the 'gold standard' for the league...

Life happens, no one will blame you for that and at the end of the day this video games we play are just outlets...It's the community that keeps it strong and you've always been apart of that...Prayers and thoughts are with you and your family...Win lose or draw I think I speak for everyone that you will always have a home here
