In-Game bar (R3) new rule for leagueplay
During game play, if the R3 button is pressed inward, the displays that are created show up for your opponent as well as yourself.
This effectively cuts down the display area of the opponent creating an intentional or unintentional advantage (we've read of lbby folks using it to block the ability to see the FG posts)
Effective immediately, it's use should be done with consideration for your opponent
If it is overly used by your opponent, pause your game and communicate the rule to your opponent via aim or PSN messaging. If you continue with the game, YOU assume responsibility for the results (No waiting until you see you're going to lose THEN making it an issue)
Everyone here should have access to a camera phone or digital camera. If there is a disagreement as to what happened, when and where, the decision will in all likelyhood lean toward the person with "evidence". Take a snap shot of what you are seeing and if you and the other coach can not resolve the issue, escalate to your conference commish. (This is applicable to all rules and issues)
Thanks

Re: In-Game bar (R3) new rule for leagueplay
Also, the pre play box also shows up on upper left of the screen. So if im playing and my opponent (defense) is spotlighting an offensive player a big ass box shows up and doesnt seem to go away. So i suppose you will be able to tell if the defense is planning on playing the pass or run before you snap the ball.
The issue i have is it too covers up the db's on that side of the field and your wr's routes. Dunno what can be done about it, if anything. Just throwin some more information out there.

I use R3 to know what the audible adjustments are. I don't need it for FG and it bugs me if it is up. I just want to make sure people don't freak the fuck out because people are using what they should have the right to use...

Not necessarily. Play the pass and play the run are two options under that pop up box, but shadow player is also one of the options.swellvermin wrote:So i suppose you will be able to tell if the defense is planning on playing the pass or run before you snap the ball.
Re: In-Game bar (R3) new rule for leagueplay
You miss my point. If it is used, I shouldn't be knocked on coaches reports because it came up and then went off. I want to make sure that it states that if "left up" is in there.Block M wrote:Here's the key...use it and lose it.cougnix wrote:I use R3 to know what the audible adjustments are. Which is what my #2 question is in the link I posted up toward the top.

Banned during gameplay in which it obstructs the view of the opponentcougnix wrote:You miss my point. If it is used, I shouldn't be knocked on coaches reports because it came up and then went off. Re: In-Game bar (R3) new rule for leagueplay
Is it bad I have no fucking clue what you guys are talking about?
But I am assuming is that I need to memorize my audibles so as not to screw myself in coach reports.
I do have one question though, if you select R3 and are in the process of making adjustments and the opponent hikes the ball does it still obstruct your view? I have played 8 games online now, none against NDL'ers, and have yet to run across this.

Re: In-Game bar (R3) new rule for leagueplay
I use it quick and then hit R3 again to take it away...PLEASE lets hope everyone understands if someone is doing it purposely or not....I would be shocked if it happens purposely within this great league...but everyone please just communicate about this....before/during and after if you have to....don't just rush to judge if someone is using it that they are doing it purposely and dock them for it.

Bingo, use it like Tig, the hit r3 and it goes away. If you've played against someone using it during the entire game you'll scream by games end.tig5165 wrote:I use it quick and then hit R3 again to take it away...PLEASE lets hope everyone understands if someone is doing it purposely or not....I would be shocked if it happens purposely within this great league...but everyone please just communicate about this....before/during and after if you have to....don't just rush to judge if someone is using it that they are doing it purposely and dock them for it.

Re: In-Game bar (R3) new rule for leagueplay
I've edited the 1st post to clarify the feature isnt BANNED
again guys, the purpose here is to not utilize the feature leaving it up post snap and creating an advantage intentionally or unintentionally.
The rule is meant to educate everyone and faciliate fair gameplay

Sorry Swelly, I'm not sure I'm completely following you on this one. Might be I'm misunderstanding your point and we're talking about two different things.

Re: In-Game bar (R3) new rule for leagueplay
We are within the same realm. The audible bar is one thing, but have you seen the defenses pre play boxes? Ie, play the pass, play run right/left? So if you are offense and opponent is defense, the defense brings up the main audible bar and then chooses to adjust the d line, lbs or dbs as well as preplay reads, those secondary boxes also show up and block the left and upper left of the screen/field. Ill have to see if i can get a pic and show you what im talking about. It replaces the main audible bar from showing and these are far more annoying than the horizontal bar. Yedig?

Re: In-Game bar (R3) new rule for leagueplay
@ Swelly,
Ok, so you're saying if I pull that up on defense it actually stays up on your screen (even during the play) if you're the offense? Otherwise we were talking about the same thing regarding that box also having the option for me to select a player on your side of the ball to shadow - ie, you keep throwing to your TE over and over and over, so I finally decide to make sure someone on my defense accounts for him and sticks as close as possible to him every play I select to. Which, as far as I can see by reading the rules, is not against the rules. I haven't "Played The Pass" or "Run - whichever direction" on you, just making sure a particular player is closely accounted for.
(I'M NOT TALKING ABOUT THE PICTURE DIRECTLY ABOVE THIS POST!)

Re: In-Game bar (R3) new rule for leagueplay
thats not the bar.
its the one that pops up when you push R3 (longer and skinnier)
problem is not with people using it. problem is you use it , your opponent can see when you are using is. if you leave it up, it stays up and your opponent can see his defenders
