I am not sure what everyone is up in arms about regarding the triangle button. It's the same shit it always has been. The triangle button works fine for me, but I only get interceptions 25% of the time. They drop or bat down the other 75% of them (this has happened on this game since it's creation). Meanwhile you catch the absolutely ridiculous interceptions (this has always happened as well).
I can only assume, and it is in my honest opinion that's majority of somes defensive woes stem from the fact that the schtick defense of the last 5 games ain't working anymore. No longer can you control your MLB and have your CB's right up at the line of scrimmage all game on defense and not pay the price. I as an offensive player can FINALLY get your user controlled MLB out of position by running strategic plays to do so. As it should be. The days of taking away 40% of an offensive's plays with one defender are over, at least for now anyways. Furthermore for the first time in ten fucking years you can throw deep again. Cheat up on the WR's? Uhh ohh a deep route is actually open, and guess what, darn it, you can get back to it with your fast CB anymore......damn. Pretty realistic for once if you ask me. In short mix up your defense and you'll have a defense. I have a shit ass team an have had success stopping and slowing teams down. I haven't won yet, but again I got a D team. In the end the same thing that happens in this league always happens in this league. The coaches that win usually will find a way to win again, end of story. Same shit, different season. I will wallow in mediocrity as I usual do, as I am to busy fucking around with multiple plays/sets.

Yep, it finally changed to the same thing Madden uses.

With the new Heisman feature that allows you to "slow the game down" they used L1 for that and can't have it be the same button...

No my gripe with defense is it seems almost random what happens. Some games my guys are all over the opposing team stifling them and forcing 5 turnovers. I guess that is my issue with it, either the other coach just completely destroys me or the other coach has 9 turnovers for no real reason. Manual control really isn't even the problem its just defense in general.

I scrimmaged South Carolina and held his offense in check for the majority of it and I said to myself "Man I have this figured out" Then in my NDL Cup game against Fresno State a vastly inferior team, he threw for roughly 4000 yards and his receivers were running wide open, not only wide open but out running my coverage for deep bombs when I would have two safetys back.

Luckily I am Oklahoma State so i can return the favor when the other person scores a ton so that keeps me in games, but I can only imagine how weaker teams feel this season must be incredibly frustrating.

just was playing a game in cover 4 on 3rd and 18 and my guys ran backs toward the QB and did not turn around until the ball was caught 33 yards downfield

I concur with cougnix here. I played so well against Miami then look like a complete idiot against buffalo. Totally not the outcome I saw coming in my schedule!
