Joker Phillips has been fired, effective the end of the season.

Now hopefully we can get the search underway now, I am hoping we get Cutcliffe.

We have a lot of good young talent here, but between injuries and calling nothing but draws and screen passes you can't beat SEC teams. Much less hang with them.

We have to go big, or we risk losing Patrick Towles, Bookie, and about five other very good players, plus some good recruits (many of whom had no clue the move was coming and have tweeted out that they were "shocked"). Making this decision early hopefully gets us into the market and gives us a step on Auburn (likely hiring Petrino), Tennessee, and Arkansas, which are all better jobs.

Three names being thrown out are Taggert (WKU, but I think he'll get a ton of offers), Cuttcliffe, and Sonny Dykes. No "big" names will come here.

I was at the game last night at USC, it was funny overhearing the USC fans on the oregon offense. we have to onside kick it in the second quarter, we stop them and they fall 5 yards forward, 10 yards every play . on 3rd downs when there defense is on the field, they ring a bell and the fans stand up and go nuts. well the bell seemed to get the oregon guys fired up.

you really dont see they whole thing about the oregon offense until you see it live and from above. they have anthony out right as a wr and hand it off to barner to run sweep left,he gets tackled at sideline and then lines up as the outside wr, with anthony going to the hb position,and all this usc is trying to sub out guys. it truely is unreal how they set up the next play and so fast. i bet the usc fan next to me , with 5 mintues left inthe quarter, does oregon get the ball over under 2 times in last 5 minutes? he took under, they got it 3 times.

good time for sure with black rain and wow to some of the women at the game.


in regards to the auburn oregon natl championship game, you guys can thank the lord up above for making it rain in arizona 2 days before the game. there was a huge rainstorm and the field was still outside before the wheeled it inside the dome.

still alot of football left to play. well see how it pans out , but its bama vs well see in a few weeks

I knew Taggert wasn't gonna do it and I knew about Cuttcliffe and Dykes....but Chavis and Jones were names I hadn't heard or even considered. Not sure Chavis would leave for an SEC team that is going to be lacking so many players on defense, but Jones would be a solid get.

Either way I don't see us spending a ton of money; we will have to pay Joker another 3.4 million dollars, plus a buy-out of any coach's contract, plus his salary.

A&M +16 is a good look. Alabama hasn't seen any O like the Aggies.

Florida and LSU both shut down A&M. I honestly can't see Alabama having trouble doing so either.

Hate to break it to you swelly but bama has played vs spread before. It's nothing they haven't seen. Hopefully they will be prepared for it.
