How did this packsy-ism slip by unnoticed?
That wasn't a Packsyism. A Packsyism is when you substitute a homophone, or at least a semi-homophone, for a very commonly used or known word or term, e.g. "paper view" for "pay per view" or "mute point" for "moot point". I'd guess a majority of the people on this board thought it was "peak your interest" instead of "pique your interest".

True. Or should I say, too shay.
Btw, in some good news....I was just assisting a business owner in Newtown (we have services there), and he said that all the people from the town who were guests of honor at the finish line were unharmed. Last thing those poor folks needed was to suffer more.

Interestingly, if one were to say "something has Dave's interest peaked" it would not be your typical error in the use of the word pique if in fact Dave's interest was at an all time high. However, it would be thrice as interesting if Nick had just said that "something has aroused Dave's interest" as then we could all snicker at the word aroused.
Additionally, can one make a mute point if they do so without using any words? And, could it actually be a moot mute point? But I digress.... work is making me slowly go insane.
i'm certainly not naïve enough to believe everything I hear on TV, so maybe they do and we are unaware, but how in the world do they not have video or pics yet of the suspect?

just think how hard that has to be. thousands of people that could of dropped shit into a trash can. no personal videos are going to be much of help because who is gunna have it pointed behind stands on the sidewalk. business security cams gotta be the best bet, but who knows how many there are and if they cover that specific area. im sure everyone including the businesses have been helping but they gotta be looking for a needle in a haystack as they have like a 4 hour window and the quantity of people moving in that area.
- dude wouldn't wear a hat?
- that's the most black people I've ever seen in Boston at one time. I only say that because in a timeline sense, the most likely way there are that many black people is if they are family/friends of the elite african runners so it was likely early in the day still, which would make sense.
