Re: Newspaper Article
Was he always just that much better than all of the other kids?
At what age was he when you realized the magnitude of his potential?

Re: Newspaper Article
He has had a ball since before he could walk. He played on his first team at age 4. About 7-8, he skill set was just advanced and you could tell he was a step ahead. The crazy this is being 15 he doesn't get it yet. He does at times, but the bulb is flickering. Once he does it, he will be even better. I think what has helped is he hasn't had a growth spurt, so he was never awkward. He just grew gradual, but I think he's having a spurt this summer. When he was interviewed a few months back he was 6'4, he is now 6'5 1/2 after doctor's visit. He has great potential on the court and a 3.8 gpa in honors and pre-ap classes off the court.shel311 wrote:Was he always just that much better than all of the other kids?

I have two younger sons and they are on his heals. The next oldest is trying to out do him when he was 12, lol. I told him his brothers might be better.

Re: Newspaper Article
I promise not to put them on ebay.... Until he is picked in the first round

Re: Newspaper Article
hes just a soph? thats insane. I dunno how it works but does he has a current * grade? or a projection? is he a 5*?
Re: Newspaper Article
Depends on who you ask. I have most coaches say he was a high major recruit, which puts him in the 4*-5* range. For him the sky is the limit. He passes the eye test being a 6'5 PG. He has the skill set also. There are things he needs to improve on and mature, but we've got 2 more years to improve. I've tried to avoid the rankings by doing select camps. Some kids try too hard to live up to the hype and others are over hyped.nick wrote:hes just a soph? thats insane. I dunno how it works but does he has a current * grade? or a projection? is he a 5*?
Alot of the kids in the 2015 and even other classes are OLD. He was invite to the Super Soph camp in Atlanta last summer, which was the top 100 rising sophomores in the country. One of the top kids as alot of the rankings say was a 17 year-old rising sophomore. My son was 14 at the time of the camp. He played well and held his own, but there is a definite advantage of a 17 year old playing against 14-15 year old kids. Maturity plays a huge part as well as the physical development.

I assume he's playiing at the Wide World of Sports? That's maybe 10 minutes from my house. Take in a game, maybe eat at the sports bar before or after, or before and after
