This new CBA is thoroughly confusing.

I was almost certain I read that if we sign a comp eligible guy, we don't lose draft picks any more, now I'm reading we do?

Also, where do we see if a guy is comp eligible? under "FA type" when looking at free agents, I see only 3 "Comp" guys in the entire FA pool. So, if Barron was comp eligible, how would we know that? Where do we find that info?

You still lose a draft pick. Top 10 picks are kept and a second rounder is lost instead.

Team losing a player no longer gets the teams pick and a sandwich pick. Now they only get a sandwich pick.

New rules reduce the amount of players that are compensation eligible.

You can look at the player at the bottom left - very clearly states the Free Agent type - Compensation - Look at Amaya

I've already missed on a few big names, had about 5 or 6 other offers out there for this sim, looks like none signed, at least with Sheltown.


Going at 2024 with a $15mil payroll is looking more and more likely every sim.

The long sim is to get us on the proper start day for the season, as opposed to have a sim with zero games that goes 3-4 days.

Couldn't a 3-4 day sim just be done now during free agency so that you are already on track once spring training starts? Maybe some teams could get an extra offer or counter offer in there and then everything will be set up for ST? Just a thought.

Ah, that is completely different. So the sim starts on the start of the last week of ST and simply runs for 3-4 extra days to take us up to opening day?

you know whatd be cool (reign) ... maybe 1 or 2 times a yr, live sims during the yr, just like 1 week, no editinglineups, but that way a bunch of ppl show and maybe its like a winter meetings. have it close to TD, get more people talking.

Going game by game for a week's worth of sims would be quite a bit. Though doing something like the All-Star game week and the 3 game series' that follow may not be too harsh. Nice idea.
