Play in Real Time & Weather

Post by BigStimpin »

Its beyond me why we cannot just fire up an online game and have this, instead we must unlock a secret trigger to engage the feature. A feature that in my opinion greatly enhances the virtual gameday experience. I mean who wants to play at noon, under clear skies and perfect temps EVERY SINGLE TIME?! I enjoy Death Valley in prime time underneath the lights, I enjoy a crispness in the air, a crispness I can see through the exhales of my players, I enjoy rain and snow! Under the comfort of my climate controlled roof of course. :D I enjoy an ambiance gentlemen!!

Some of you surely already know or may not care, HOWEVER, for all you climactic purists out there here are the steps to engage real time and weather. Mind you only the HOME team can engage the feature...

Begin like your going to play an exibition vs the computer, ANY TEAM WILL DO, it does not have to be the team you plan on playing with. Go ahead and begin like your going to start the game, just before the game loads as it normally would you are dropped off at setting screen. It is here you will select the weather tile. It is so silly but you must toggle off the LIVE FEED then right back to it and that's it, exit back all the way out and into online mode. This simple yet mundane action will give you REAL TIME in your next online match. Perhaps a sticky, more professionally done and put in the right place? Maybe?

Totally agree man. You can though in an online dynasty select a neutral site stadium for all unlocked games on the schedule.

If you do the steps in the original post IT CAN BE a feature online!! This has been a way to enable the feature the last couple versions, same way.

I think dave is saying it is silly that EA has not made this a feature that you can just select when playing a game online instead of having to jump through these hoops to get it to work.

I agree with Dave and Stimpin....this feature should already be available online and stadium select....

But pretty easy to get to the real time weather.

Go to exhibition, choose a team, turn real time weather off then back to on, exit out, go to online mode and boom goes the dynamite.

Agree here, this is a must for me. I always ask my NDL opponents if they know how to get weather before kicking off, if they don't, we usually have time for to get them to walk through it and get it right. Nothing worse than playing at night (real time) but EA gives you high noon clear skies....lame.

Not sure why it would be so hard to have that "settings" screen before kicking a User V User online game :?

This is a company that got rid of the crowd pulse because they dialed it up too much for the trailers and then didn't realize that you could just, ya know, dial it down a bit. No, they scrap it. But leave in "toughest places to play." The only good fucking thing about NCAA 2005 was the part where you could not fucking see a thing when the crowd was losing its shit. And ... they ruined it.

So weather? lulz. Color me surprised yet again.
