Re: MLB '13 - Bye Braun
There isnt a clause in their contract of guilty of steroid use or something like that they can get out easier?
I guess the MLBPA would never allow that but I would think going forward that is something written into these huge contracts for these stars, no?

I think that has been challenged before, maybe.Cnasty wrote:There isnt a clause in their contract of guilty of steroid use or something like that they can get out easier?

And I also think they aren't allowed to have that language in a contract.

Re: MLB '13 - Bye Braun
I know a big piece of contracts for the mlb was writing in "dangerous" activities and being able to elude paying players that involved themselves in that. AKA, the Jeff Kent law
Figured you can write something about getting caught with steroids, felony offenses, crap like that
MLBPA is so powerful though I doubt it

I would assume anything is allowed in a contract. The player ofcourse is gonna be advised not to, but as an owner I would want something in there. And further more, if I was a clean player I wouldn't worry about it being in there to collect my 60 mil. If I was the Union rep I would lay all that out for the player. Performance enhancing steriods ofcourse.

Re: MLB '13 - Bye Braun
I havent been into the details of the MLB as much as years past but WTF is going on??
24,470 strikeouts so far this year in the season and already the most all time in the history of the game?
224 shutouts, 2nd all time and we are only in August?
I know the magnifying glass on steroids and all but those numbers are pretty incredible.

The Dodgers sure look to be almost unbeatable right now....They have become scary good since mid June.
Re: MLB '13 - Bye Braun
they shoulda been scary good since April when you invest 200 mil? but ya, theyre definitely the team ot beat now. Kershaw is from another planet.
Re: MLB '13 - Bye Braun
They had an injury to Greinke and the team wasn't hitting. It doesn't hurt them that they play in the worst division in baseball either.nick wrote:they shoulda been scary good since April when you invest 200 mil? but ya, theyre definitely the team ot beat now. Kershaw is from another planet.

Kershaw is a monster and Puig has been fun.
Thank you for sweeping the Rays even though the Sox couldnt capitalize and beat the Royals.
