trendon wrote:They draft fairly well, to be honest. The Weeden thing is hurting but, remember, nearly everyone thought he was straight out of central casting; big, mature, rocket arm, deadly accurate. He is a stick in the mud but it looked like a good pick, if not slightly overreaching.DRiccio21 wrote:Everyone defending the browns are forgetting one simple thing... its the Browns.
seeit will probably become the offensive coordinator before they have a plan in place that works
I just looked, by the way, where the fuck did all of their 2013 picks go? They had four.
Josh Gordon supp pick, Davone Bess trade and packaged to move around the 2012 draft.
I hated the Weeden pick... I was literally sitting in front of my tv, talking to myself and saying, "please don't pick Weeden, please don't pick Weeden." Dave can probably vouch for this if he remembers, but I REALLY wanted the guy the Steelers took, David DeCastro at the end of the 1st and Alshon Jeffery with our 2nd (hypothetically). If I remember right, DeCastro ended up messing up his knee or something, but I think he's back as the starter in Pittsburgh. Oddly enough, Cleveland guards are both down and our current situation is a joke. Jeffery, imo, still has a TON of upside.

49ers Aldon Smith arrested on DUI this morning.
Goes back to the debate we had with Dave.
Why are these rich idiots risking a DUI when someone can drive them?

Browns are just not giving a shit today, I love it.
I don't know why more shitty teams don't take more risks.

Drugs invovled too, and how dumb is Harbaugh and the 49ers organization for allowing him to play in today's game, they said he will sit out Thursday game now, but wow. And they got dick throttled anyways.
Hawks looked good against the Jags again, of course it's the Jags, but their defense in the first half was salty, and I love the dline rotation we have, excited to get everyone back healthy after week 8-10ish. Big game in Houston next week on the road. They are coming off an ass kicking, so I am sure they will be jacked up.

Amazing that with all that happened to his house, he's more concerned with the kids that did the damage and helping/saving them. Will be interesting to see if any step forward and admit responsibility given all the Facebook and Twitter evidence.
How long do you think some of these kids are grounded for?
I saw this last week on Facebook. Crazy.

Re: NFL Thread
THat was nuts. KIds are waaay more ballsy now than when i was a kid. we used to just go party on peoples lands and build bonfires or wait for parents to go out of town. Bu thats insane to BnE and trash a place like that. Surprised it was only 20k of damage.

I still think it is hilarious how crazy everyone gets over a DUI. The fucking machine really churned hard to dupe us all on that one.

Re: NFL Thread
No. And we've been over this before. The only reason why you do think it is a big deal is because of the lies and non-science spread by the NTSB, MAAD, media, and your local governments. It is also clouded by your belief that police are here to help and aren't just financial arms of the municipality.dakshdar wrote:Wait, you think a DUI is no big deal?trendon wrote:That is true.Cnasty wrote:49ers Aldon Smith arrested on DUI this morning.

Re: NFL Thread
And, by the way, I am not going through this again. I am not bothering to refute any of your statements because it is futile. I will provide a laundry list of evidence (not feelings, not guesses, not beliefs) that prove that DUI/DWI laws are outrageously stupid in this country. It will take up a significant portion of my day to do this.
Yet, in five seconds, I will "lose" the argument to anyone who mentions ANY silly anecdotal story about some relative, friend, or peer that was hurt/killed by someone who was drunk. If I had you at 99.9% after listening to my passionate speech about how you should turn on your government's DUI laws, you'd just fly back to 0 and start waving the pom-poms you were so purposely handed.
I know why, too, and I won't fight this battle because it is a loser every time.
