Re: Favorite players as a kid....
5. Barry Sanders...
4. Edgar Martinez
3. Randy Johnson
2. Joe Montana
1. Ken Griffey JR.
Jr was by and is by far my favorite player of all time in any sport, I loved watching him live when I was a little kid, and he played the game like I would want any kid to the play the game, IMO anyways. He was a blast to watch.

Griffy Jr. would have been the best of all time if not for injuries. It was fun using him in World Series Baseball 98 on my Sega Genesis, hit for the cycle of HRs one time with him.

Re: Favorite players as a kid....
This was prolly my longest lasting poster in my room as a kid. 8th-12th grade (and after til my mom "re-did" my room lol)
This went along with a short lived effort to have my friends call me by my self proclaimed nickname "double trouble"
I cant find the Jerry Rice I had.
I also made a collage in 8th grade I think of Daryl Strawberry and Doc Gooden and had straw in that pose in riccio's post

That's awesome nole... I had the same poster. It was next to a framed cartoon drawing of Bo running the ball and stepping on a Bengal tiger... my mom paid $20 for the drawing at a local festival. I saw the framed drawing in the corner of my garage, where I keep the "junk," about a year ago. But I think it got tossed out in the last 'cleanup.'
I only had 2 other posters that I can remember, 1 was a Shaq poster from his time with the Magic and the other was a 1992 Dream Team poster.
I also had 1 thing that Riccio may find interesting... considering I'm a life long Browns fan. It was a plaque that had a Rocky Bleier rookie card on 1 part, a picture w/autograph, then a hand written note on another portion of it. When I was fairly young, it would have been around 5th grade, my grandfather took me to a lunch event where we met him and I was able to talk to him for quite awhile. Even being that young, I remember it being pretty inspiring and kind of instilling that 'never give up' attitude.
