Football Manager 2014

Post by jsence2 »

Was curious who might be getting this. With Reign stepping down as OOTP commish at some point, was wondering if he might willing to run/assist in running?

Unlike OOTP, it's not a cheap, splittable license (game is $50, one license), but the game appears to be even better than OOTP in terms of what you can control and do. Sims are done in 3D, player morale/interactions with press/interactions w board are vitally important. Full control over tactics.

Premier League isn't licensed (thanks to EA) but most other leagues are, and we can easily just download rosters/crests/kits from the online area

From what the game's FAQ/tech area says, we can do online leagues just like the OOTP league

IGN gave it an 8 out of 10. This review has some great video of the 3D engine (like watching a FIFA match) which you can do in-match adjustments in; and also breaks down a lot of the features

This is much more in-depth than OOTP and requires more hands-on

lol doubt you have the comp power to do 3d. 2d is fine tho, works on my laptop. im still playing 13 lol, in year 2055 on one save. i might get it since nick said a crack is out but i dont think i can spend money on it this year since i bought the last one. my favorite game every year tho if you guys are wondering whether or not to play. if you like managing teams there isnt a better game out. its as in depth as you want it to be, once you learn all the little shit it gets insane the possibilities. a team i coached from bottom german division ended up naming their new stadium they built after me, after i had been gone for 5 or so years too. its truly addicting

It sounds like a sweet sim.. but at the same time feels a bit too pricey for being a sim.
