Yea. My favorite was the "Last Sim" info. It was so much easier to see how your guys performed on that day's sim.Bernie32 wrote:I miss the stat of the day stuff that stats lab had

Reign has done a great job lining us in financially but unsure we will ever be right in concerns to the talent in free agency and 75% of the league playing money ball.nick wrote:look at all that talent in free agency. unreal
Crazy to see all that talent.
Re: 2027 - Season - Here We Go Again! (Ready 1/20)

Not to the type of contracts that they are asking is not Moneyball unless I have been totally wrong all these years of what Moneyball is which wouldn't be a surprise.DRiccio21 wrote:money ball would be signing those guys... but i get what you're trying to say.Cnasty wrote:75% of the league playing money ball.

Re: 2027 - Season - Here We Go Again! (Ready 1/20)
That's what I thought but I may be wrong.
I said my comment because most of these guys are "older" in our league comparisons asking for 4 and 5 year contracts at 10-15mil per. Doesn't seem like moneyball type signings to me.
They may very well end up being if we get into the season and unsigned though.

Re: 2027 - Season - Here We Go Again! (Ready 1/20)
moneyball, at the core, is trying to get value through inefficiencies in the mkt. it has nothing to do with OBP or young guys or low priced guys or anything in particular, that just happened to be what was being undervalued at the time... if OBP started to get overvalued than it wouldn't be 'moneyball' and thats actually what started to happen in real life to an extent.
if you offered out those vets some discounted contracts (even at those ages), they would be incredible value. old vets ARE the money ball guys in our league because nobody wants them and wants to give their 'prospects' chances so guys just sit out there in free agency who could be producing at + value for their contracts.

Felix Chavez on my team is "moneyball" lol. 30, shit D/running, is a 46 overall (which ppl look at) so I got him for $2 million and he was 2 points udner a .400 OBP which is insanity. Thats exceptional value.

That hurts. two years leading the bigs in batting average, great OBP. Oh well. I'll have to try to find someone else to fit that bill now.

I signed an IFA last night. He wasn't in the FA listings and I even searched him using some parameters I set up to look for IFA's. The only reason I came across him was because he was short listed and I was clearing that list out of people I didn't want on there anymore. Anyone get a message saying their scout found an IFA named Carlos Rodriguez? Nothing special a MR 20/25 prospect is all.

any player your scout "finds", automatically goes to your shortlist. So that happens, you may have just missed the email.GeorgesGoons wrote:I signed an IFA last night.
