I am with you guys on starting over and having the stats play more of a role then the potential rating as it is today.

Played all 6 games this sim in Florida (3 in MIA, 3 in PO). Temps for the 3 games in Miami, 41, 39, and 46. The next three days in Port Orange, temps were 72, 67, and 68. Must have been a Polar Vortex in Miami!!!

Nah, draft pick trades are your thing.

We know so much more than we did when we started and love the idea of stats only or lower ratings.

But you will never get everyone to change. There are too many history lovers.
I to would like a restart using different ratings and putting everyone here in equal standing.

Topic for winter meetings. Might be something we all agree on.

We have had the Restart talks in several winter meetings and it ends up in no restart.

Myself I am against a restart, Although everyone would get on a even page to some sort, Still going to have same issues. And I am to into what I have built up since joining to let it just go to waste to restart now. I think a restart would kinda kill somes interest in the league itself

*Edited

I will also add this to the Restart thing, If and If we do end up restarting, Then I suggest that we turn off all coaches and just use a Scout.

And @ Dan(Seeit) - Look at our April 27th game box score, There was a 70 minute rain deley, ruined McEntyre's good start. But just example of some weather into the mix, And I have noticed every game so far in Detroit has been with roof closed.

Looking at it closer, there is still a "(Tor)" behind your stadium name. Did it ever get moved to Miami?

This.

I say we wait for the league to get OOTP 15 and start a fresh historical league from that. . Divisional Era (1969) and move forward.

At the very least, it would be the first step before going stats-only.
Sounds intriguing. How do you deal with prospects? Seems like that would be where it's pretty tough, but ML guys with no ratings you could get by.
Amateur? They have four years of school.

Minors? It would almost force us all to get better at minor league management.
But when, say, looking at the amateur draft pool, you basically almost have to click on every player to see his 4 year stats.

I definitely agree with you on theory, but I think it would be really difficult to sorty and rank guys without ratings.

catching up on reading this stuff. watch out now...lol

Say this is the way it happens with no ratings on... For the Amateur draft ONLY turn the ratings back on to make it easier to draft then turn them back off. Is that possible?

I thought Dave was our resident positive poster.

Looks like we've worn him down and he's just another Debbie Downer!

Hernandez thinks Barry Bonds needs to step his game up. This dude is playing like a baseball god right now. I think he's earned a bobblehead night, lol.

after a good start the Hawks come back to earth with a 1- 5 week;

lose 2 of 3 to Miami.....not good
got swept by NY, lost 3 games by a total of 4 runs.

it happens. teams real young. still have a 16-15 record

Doesnt help that our teams 2 top players have snowflakes by their names.....

wtf is going on in NEw England?????

22 HRs in 32 games. Not even Jaime Cruz ever did that.

Dealing with injuries is part of the game, and now Colton Long of the Launch knows this firsthand. He was injured against the Port Orange Hawks
it was personal...
