Coral Gables police arrested two University of Miami football players on sexual battery charges.
Alexander Figueroa, 20, and JaWand Blue, 20, were arrested Tuesday morning following an incident that occurred on July 5.
According to the police report, the juvenile victim states that Figueroa and Blue brought her back to a dorm room on the university campus and committed a sexual battery.
The alleged assault took place at Pearson Hall.
Both players were later dismissed from the football team by school athletic director Blake James.
“Earlier today, I permanently dismissed Jawand Blue and Alexander Figueroa from the UM football team," Blake said in a statement. "The University has also suspended the students from school and barred them from all campus facilities while the University conducts an internal investigation and continues to cooperate with local law enforcement."
The crime was first reported to the University of Miami Police and was investigated by Coral Gables Police detectives.
On the Miami Hurricanes football website, both Figueroa and Blue were listed as sophomore linebackers. Figueroa is from Stafford, Va. while Blue is from Boca Raton.
Quality work Figueroa. A few years ago nobody would recruit him because his grades were terrible. He was going to attend some D2 school. He worked on his grades his SR year and opted for military school (FUMA, I think) and did enough for Miami to finally take a chance. So, he fucks it all up with this shit.
Blue and Figueroa administered or had knowledge of someone else administering to the victim a narcotic, anesthetic or other intoxicating substance that mentally or physically incapacitated the victim without her prior knowledge or consent. Police said the victim was physically helpless to resist.
On Tuesday, Blue and Figueroa came into Coral Gables police station and admitted to buying and administering several alcoholic beverages for the victim and bringing her back to Blue's dorm room. They then admitted to performing sexual acts on her without her consent. Both were immediately arrested as transported to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.
Pretty frickin awesome that our QB at Hart Brady White is ranked fourth best overall after two days at the Elite 11 camp. He is gonna blow them away with his skills in 7 on 7, he is as accurate passer as I've seen in that situation.
EDIT: Brady White and Irwin are on the same 7 on 7 team and will be live in action tonight at 8 est on ESPNU for the 7 on 7 event. Pretty cool that it is televised.

first time i've been kinda bummed that there wont be an NDL season or a hunt for who can get NCAA first or a 'when are the rosters done' or 'this game is considerably better' only to be followed by 'this game sucks' a month later.
Florida State football player Jesus Wilson stole a motor scooter near the Love Building on Florida State campus last month and crashed it, court documents said. Wilson, 19, now faces a charge of grand theft of a motor vehicle.
On June 11 at 10:20 a.m., a man said he parked his scooter, valued at $1,000, in front of the Love building along Atomic Way. When he returned, the scooter was gone, said court documents. On June 17, Tallahassee Police officers stopped Wilson while he was driving the stolen scooter, which was now damaged. Wilson said he borrowed the scooter from another student but had no contact information for him, court documents said.

A scooter? Really? Now that's gangster........ya. It's a shame, he looked like he was going to be a solid slot wr. No clue yet if he is 100% done in Tally, but given the chatter I've read today I would guess isn't only a matter of crossing t(s) and dotting i(s) before he is officially gone.

He's rated a top 100 player. Who said he's not getting exposure?
Because he's rated the 24th best WR and frankly he should be top three in the country that's why. And even Dilfer said he's glad Irwin is getting exposure. You don't know how good Irwin is ti you see him in person. Elephant in the room he'd be a much higher recruit if he was black, so something like this is good for him. I'll get slammed for it on here but IDGAF because it's the truth and I've heard it out of college coaches mouths.
Recruiting rankings are a complete and total joke and you truly know it. And no reply you have will change that. There are over 400,000 senior football players leaving high school right now and - how many sign LOI's? - 5,000? 1.2%. So, believe me, math says your boy is not being overlooked.
As far as I a concerned, there are three types of players in college football:
- Five-star recruits (what, 20 of them each year?)
- Walk-ons.
- Everyone else that is rated.
