What were the prices? I'm curious. I have mine tomorrow, but our values are skewed by like 1.125% because our budget is 225

Big fan of Bush, Tate, and Green. Charles is my least favorite of the "big 4", but there's no reasoning behind it, I just can't trust him for some reason. Rams D is great, Shayne should be fine, Williams could be very solid. I wanna have Newton some year, but can never pull the trigger on drafting him or paying for him

Re: Fantasy Football Advice Topic
QB- Cam Newton $18
RB- Jamaal Charles $57
RB- Reggie Bush $32
WR- AJ Green $44
WR- Golden Tate $10
WR/RB- Andre Ellington $11
TE- Jason Whitten $12
D- Rams $1
K- Shayne Graham $1
Bench- Terrance Willams, Knile Davis, Deangelo Williams and a few rookies/scrubs.
Keepers are previous years value plus $10. Charles and Ellington were my keepers.

Re: Fantasy Football Advice Topic
Gonna try not to bother you guys with every minor detail this season, but i'm in my 1st trade talk, but have no idea how to evaluate guys, especially when trading 1 player for 2.shel311 wrote:QB Stafford
RB Lynch
RB Arian Foster
WR Roddy White
WR AJ Green
TE Julius Thomas
W/R/T Crabtree
K Haushka from SEA
Def KC
Bench in no particular order:
Bishop Sankey
Jeremy Maclin
Brandin Cooks(my 1 homer picks)
Kaepernick
McFadden
Martellus Bennett
Mark Ingram(actually thought it was value, not a homer pick lol)
Chris Ivory
So that's my team above. 1 guy is interested in either Lynch or Foster, and will give up a RB and WR. I guess I'm just looking for guidance as I have no earthly clue of what is a fair offer. His RBs and WRs are:
Jordy Nelson/Pierre Garcon/Michael Floyd/Terrance Williams/Emmanuel Sanders
Eddie Lacy/CJ Spiller/Ridley/Terrance West/Lamar Miller
Just point me in the right direction and I'll be on my way

This dude is trying to pull one over on the me, the rookie!!!
Re: Fantasy Football Advice Topic
u wont get Lacy. hes 4th overall. Lynch is 9-11 range and Foster is a 3rd rounder.

If I give up Lynch, I don't see any way I'm upgrading my starting lineup.
If I give up Foster, it's the same thing I'm guessing, maybe adding more to the bench, but I don't see how I could improve my starting lineup in the 1 for 2 scenario.

Shel... if that's a 12 team league, I'd ride it out for a few weeks and see how things look. The team looks very well rounded and likely to be a playoff team, imo.

Thanks Reign. It's a 10 team league, not sure if that changes things, but I'm definitely on board with ridings things out for a bit.ReignOnU wrote:Shel... if that's a 12 team league, I'd ride it out for a few weeks and see how things look. I know nothing about scoring systems either, but this one seems wayyyyyyy more involved and more parts to it than I expected. Not sure if that's normal or not.

one simple rule in fantasy sports that (while not always true) is normally going to keep you on the right path... always get the best player in the deal.
secondary players can be replaced easily. stars give consistent production that is usually impossible to replicate thru free agency

10 just means that your team isn't quite as good as if it was 12 (talent distribution etc).
Is it PPR (point per reception)?

That's exactly what I was thinking. Giving up a starter in Lynch/Foster for basically what would be depth, i don't see the advantage in that.DRiccio21 wrote:one simple rule in fantasy sports that (while not always true) is normally going to keep you on the right path... always get the best player in the deal.

Yes to PPR. i'll see if I can find it, just seems like there was a ton of different scoring opportunities.Seeitsaveit13 wrote:10 just means that your team isn't quite as good as if it was 12 (talent distribution etc).

Re: Fantasy Football Advice Topic
there are times with injuries or when you have a hole cause you drafted shitty or whatever that you might need to get desperate and try a 2 for 1 but at this point when NOBODY knows who's going to be the best players there is no reason to try something like that.shel311 wrote:That's exactly what I was thinking. I will say this, EVERYONE knows the 'don't trade the best player in the deal' cliché by now. In my really competitive hoops league I do a ton of 2 for 1. I try to get two players that are slightly worse than the #1 player. it almost becomes the inverse, guys overvalue 'the best player in the deal' so they will trade the 10th and 11th best player in the league for the 8th. shit like that. but I highly doubt your league is thinking that deeply about stuff like this. what you don't want to get in the habit of is trading the 8th best player in the league for the 30th and 35th thinking those 2 guys will outweigh the value of 1. I think you could have figured that out on your own tho

If you're in a 10 team, then Dave's advice is even more important. Less talent on rosters means more secondary talent in FA. ALWAYS get the best player in the deal.

Re: Fantasy Football Advice Topic
What do I do when my kicker and defense are on bye weeks?
I wasn't "supposed to" draft 2 of each, correct?
