According to one Kyle Tucker of one Courier-Journal, Mark Stoops has “no intention” of reaching out to Miami’s James Coley for the offensive coordinator opening. Tucker’s source told him Coley is “not the right fit” for UK.
This comes less than 24 hours after reports that Coley was at the top of Stoops’ list and had an offer on the table from Kentucky.

Re: College Football 2014
What do Nebraska and Michigan expect anymore? Especially Nebraska. It is colder than shit there and no one cares about their tradition if they are a HS aged kid. To top it off they can't eve recruit their own state so why would any kid want to go there. If they do not hire Scott Frost then I do not think that program will ever be relevant ever again. 18 Y/O kids want to go to schools with warmer weather, hot co-eds, and cool ass uniforms. Unless Nick Saban is your coach.
Re: College Football 2014
thats pretty funny and definitely true. I remember hearin on the oregon state-oregon game, that not 1 single player on OSU is from Oregon so they had to show them videos of the civil war to get them amped and understand the tradition behind the game.packsyd2284 wrote:What do Nebraska and Michigan expect anymore? That was an exaggeration. Plenty of Oregon players on OSU roster. You actually believe Sportscasters?nick wrote:thats pretty funny and definitely true. couldn't give 2 shits if the whole team was from Oregon, thats what the person talking said.
edit: must of been just the starters, cause i did a quick look here http://www.ourlads.com/ncaa-football-de ... tate/91648 and all the starters are not from Oregon, so probably misheard him.

It's not that they can't recruit their state. There's just rarely an in-state player worth recruiting. But yeah, I think Nebraska is delusional. This isn't 1985 or even 1995. Pelini won 9 games a year. How many schools would kill for consistent 9 win seasons? This is like Iowa running off Steve Alford because he couldn't get past the Sweet 16. You've got to know your ceiling as a program.packsyd2284 wrote:What do Nebraska and Michigan expect anymore? Especially Nebraska. Well that's more of what I mean. Not too many five star guys chillen in Nebraska.LetsGoPeay wrote:It's not that they can't recruit their state. I'm starting to think Michigan is delusional as well. I mean they ran Rich Rod out, who is a dick but, imo is one of the best coaches in CFB. Just got PAC-12 coach of the year.

Re: College Football 2014
The Nebraska program has a ridiculous amount of money (and more coming when they become a fully-vested member of the B1G in 2016). So, number one, we can afford to be delusional. Number two, we aren't expecting to compete for a championship every year. Those may have been the expectations when solich was fired, but not anymore. Firing pelini was an easy decision. Name the best win Nebraska has had in his tenure as a coach. There are no significant victories in 7 years. Pelinis era was filled with forgettable wins and unforgettable blowout losses on national television. It's not asking much to beat a top ten team once every few years. We haven't won a conference title since 1999. If michigan state can win a conference championship, there is no reason we shouldn't be able to at least get to the championship game every other year, especially in our division.
Nebraska has always done pretty well recruiting nationally...especially considering the fact that it's IN FUCKING NEBRASKA!!! Amazing facilities, one of the largest stadiums in college football, and every game sold out regardless of how shitty the team is will bring in good enough recruits. Love the decision to fire Bo. I think he was a great person, but loyal to his staff to a fault (never fired anybody in 7 years) and unwilling to make any sort of changes when they were obviously necessary. Most of the above can be said for michigan as well, but at least hoke won a BCS bowl.

Good points Dan. I do not remember a time Nebraska has won any kind of meaningful game, especially at home where they have an unreal advantage. I remember that home and home USC had with them several years ago and how we just stomped their asses.

Re: College Football 2014
Lets start a good debate here. How in the hell is TCU three spots ahead of a team they lost to in the playoff pairings?!?! Baylor beat them H2H. If the season were to end tomorrow I think this system would be more broken than the last. FSU keeps getting punished for winning as well :/.

Bama is the only one that makes any kind of sense to be ahead of FSU.packsyd2284 wrote: FSU keeps getting punished for winning as well :/.
From what I can tell, Oregon's played a somewhat tougher schedule and TCU has played a simlar schedule to FSU. Both have losses, but it's like no one cares or realizes FSU is undefeated.
I think FSU is just being compared to last year's FSU, for the most part.
I do think Oregon would beat FSU, but that's irrelevant, I think the resume up to now is all that should be factored in.

Re: College Football 2014
The committee is basically instructed to pick the best 4 teams as of now (from what I've read). Resume is obviously factored in, but it's not an end all be all. I'm guessing they don't think that FSU is actually that good, having struggled against UF, BC, etc. Despite a 3 point loss in a 61-58 shootout, the must feel that TCU is still the better team between them and Baylor, and capable of beating FSU (which isn't a stretch to assume).
I kind of like how it's being done, because I think it will result in the best 4 teams getting the shot. Most deserving teams? maybe not, but best? yes. Seems like there may be more controversy each year if this type of picking holds true to form, but it may end up with the best teams getting in.
Should be interesting. It's gonna go all up in the air when FSU loses to GT this weekend though
