College Football 2014
Re: College Football 2014
The committee basically said (as they talked in circles today) that non-conference SOS doesn't matter, it's all about going undefeated.
Big XII will immediately add two teams, and I think the playoff will become a six-team playoffs before the next season begins. Mainly because the SEC saw that there is a way they could miss out completely, and I don't think they'll allow that to happen. You get all five conf champions and one at-large team with 6 teams, 1/2 seeds get byes.

S14: N Texas 7-1
S15: Wake 8-5
S16-21: Washington 9-4, 10-3, 8-5, 9-4, 7-6, 6-7
S22: Ohio 8-5
S23: ECU 12-2
S24-26: Kentucky 8-5, 5-7, 5-7
Career: 102-61

I'd much rather 8 teams, and seeds 1-4 play at home in the 1st round, then you go to the bowl sites.

Time. If the 1995 Huskers were the 2001 Huskers and the 2001 Canes played in 1995, your opinions would be different.fsupenguin wrote:I have to agree with Corey, that Canes team was unreal.

I have been saying this for ever. That or Houston as an alternate to either of those.Uuaww wrote:see the big 12 add two more teams. just add boise and byu and get it over with.cougnix wrote:Weird, pac12 champ, sec champ, big10 champ and acc champ. Hmmm no controversy or corruption there. Big12 snuffed because they don't have a championship. Do I totally disagree with the picks, no, but why rank TCU 3 last week and watch them DESTROY ISU and then rank them 6? I don't get it
Though I think with the SOS that Baylor had even playing in a conf champ game wouldn't of put them over the hump but would of made a more compelling case.

95 Huskers were great, but the level of NFL talent on that 01 Canes team is unparalleled. I'm not saying they would blow out 95 Huskers, but I do firmly believe they are clearly the best and 2nd best teams in our life times for sure.trendon wrote:Time. They are being naive to think the Huskers
Would beat that Miami team. Go look at that Miami roster. It's hillarious how good they were.

Yeah, "they" ... never mind most of the publications that have tackled this over the years - publications you read and respect - have said 1995 Nebraska. But, it is just George and I with scarlet and cream colored glasses on.packsyd2284 wrote:fsupenguin wrote:95 Huskers were great, but the level of NFL talent on that 01 Canes team is unparalleled. "Wisconsin’s academic policies for getting players in had to play huge part in Andersen’s decision. Had been extremely frustrated."
Sorry, Wisconsin has integrity.

Re: College Football 2014
can't blame the guy tho if thats the case.
he's getting fired if he loses games. not if his players don't graduate.
since thats the case he better be somewhere he can get his players into school.

He is the coach at Bishop Gorman who in the last 3-4 years have been HS NAtional Champs or runners up.LetsGoPeay wrote:UNLV hired a high school coach.
I think it is a dumb move tho, zero job security at UNLV and it isn't like hes headed to the SEC like Malzahn did straight from HS.
