FSU was going toe to toe with Oregon and was driving to take the lead before the fumble-fest started. No team turns the ball over that many times and wins. Then they laid down late and while I hate that they did, 5 damn turnovers might do that to anyone.jsence2 wrote:Said it before and I'll say it again. I don't care if FSU was unbeaten or not, TCU was clearly the better team and should've been in over FSU. FSU squeaked by over and over and should've lost to ND. I would have loved to see TCU-Alabama and Oregon-OSU today. Oregon is fun to watch and I hope they win it all.
It was rather classless for the Noles not to shake hands after the game.
Sincere question:
If they had played this week, do you think FSU would have beaten TCU?
Also, if you're saying TCU should have been one of the 4 teams in, why are you singling out FSU as the team they should have replace?
Because there are about 4-5 games that they could have, and possibly should have, lost. They won the Notre Dame game on a penalty. Sorry, but eye test, they weren't one of the four best teams in America, IMO.

What do you think the committee went by? This is picked by humans. Laugh all you want, but when you watch two teams play and one is easily more dominant than the other, it's not a hard choice. Fact is that undefeated teams in the past have been left out because they didn't play a "tough enough schedule" or weren't in a "power conference". Record didn't matter then. Why should it have here? TCU was the better team, in the minds of many. You could make the argument that FSU should've been there over OSU, but it's hard to deny that based on the body of work THIS YEAR, that TCU should've been playing today, probably moreso than FSU.

They lost to Baylor. Lost being the key word. Yes TCU was dominant yesterday but besides only playing 12 games and having 3 bye weeks, they had like the 116th rated OOC schedule. Baylor had the 132nd out of 132 teams. You're "body of work" arguement is invalid.jsence2 wrote:shel311 wrote:Eye test

I know that when it's raining and I can't use my retractable sun roof I stop and drink coffee and stare pensively out the window until the rain stops. I don't do it because it's popular or somebody pays me. I do it because fuck rain.

There is only 128 teams to start with. According to Phil Steele TCU had the 40th ranked SOS, Baylor had the 57th.
I am curious where the other 4 teams are. And where are you getting your SOS figure from.

He used OOC schedule, which of course ignored the fact that the ACC wasn't that good this year. But that's none of my businessGeorgesGoons wrote:OracleHCR wrote:They lost to Baylor. Saban should go take away the playcalling sheet from Kiffin and send him to the stands. Henry is averaging 7.8 yards a carry tonight. There should be one playcall issued the rest of the night. It's called "Hand the ball off to Henry".

not strength of schedule. OOC schedule. I got it from one of the rankings on the last day of the selection committee.

The Rob Lowe commercials are all pretty solid. I like scrawny arms the best.

I would hate to be an OSU fan right now, 5 minutes left and there would be a worn path in my carpet/hard wood floor if I was fan.. My stomach would be in knots, or I would be in a zombie like drunkness.

Their SOS was rated harder than both Baylor and TCU around 33. Alabama had the hardest of the 4 with Oregon and OSU both rated in the 10 - 15 hardest range I think.jsence2 wrote: He used OOC schedule, which of course ignored the fact that the ACC wasn't that good this year.
